  • Great tool
Style: Staple and Nail Gun
I've used manual Arrow staple guns in various sizes for many decades. I own T72, T50, T37, T25, and T18 manual guns, though I haven't used the T18 or T37 in a long time and probably wouldn't be able to find staples for them any more. The T50 and T25 are my workhorses. But as I get older the strength in my hands is less, so I tried this cordless staple gun, which works for T50 and T25. It's great. The only reason I might ever go back to the manual staple guns is that they are a lot smaller and fit into tighter spaces. I bought brads for this but haven't tried them yet. I've shot a lot of T50 and T25 with this, and I'm happy with the results. This big red thing can also do the thin-wire JT21 staples, and I tried them out but haven't used them for anything real yet. ... show more

My old stapler only used regular staples. With this one I have choices.

  • So much easier than manual. Takes flat staples, round crown staples, and 18 gauge brads.
Style: Staple and Nail Gun
I have had a manual stapler for years, and I used to have a wired electric brad gun. This unit does both, all with a rechargeable battery... and it is very light. I have found it difficult to use a manual stapler in tight areas without hurting my hands, plus my hands are getting stiffer as I get older. This light small stapler lets me put in anything from a 3/8" to 9/16" staple, in either flat or arched top (for wires) staples. And Arrow has them in steel, stainless steel, and Monel. It also does 18 gauge brads, so that does in one battery operated, rechargeable electric tool, what I used to have two tools for. And it is much easier on my hands, and quicker than using my mechanical stapler. I take one star off for ease of use, because I find it difficult to load the staples. They need to sit on one side of the cartridge, but it is not inherently obvious which side. Also, it says it can use 18 gauge pin nails, but Arrow does not seem to manufacture those, and I could not find them from any other manufacturer—only brad nails in 18 gauge. ... show more

  • It’s not special by any means. Wish I could return it.
Style: Staple and Nail Gun
So I got it to use for hanging Christmas lights. I do it professionally. I don’t Clark griswald with the stapler to often, but There’s a spot here or an area there that the materiel needing lights or power cords attached to requires stapling. Problem is you stapling takes so darn long, ensuring its lined up on either side of the cord so the bulb sits perfectly, and so you don’t hit the cord of course. I thought this little stapler would help expedite my process. Well it doesn’t. A) no way are you getting a 1000 staples thru this before it dies. Not even in that ballpark. B.) it’s kinda heavy, for me it’s fine but it’s gotta be 3-4 times heavier then my other muscle powered staplers. And the thing is it’s big it’s clunky, you absolutely can not staple in tight spots. Which is not conducive at all to my needs. Or any I can think of C.) since it is large, heavy, and clunky it is hard to get lined properly up when compared to a good ole cable type stapler. This one is a pain to use. It didn’t save me any time, on the contrary. I wanted to like it. Tried it just long enough thst I can’t send the thing back, so now I’m stuck with it, guarantee I never use it again. Wish I could return it. Now there is a couple things good don’t think that. For one thing, it has a safety deal that the stapler part has to be pushed in to whatever stapling or else the stapler won’t fire. That’s good for me bc I regularly have to pop staples in spots when I’m blind. I gotta go by feel, and a lot of times I’m not close enough. That does a bit to help me outZ.? Another perk is it fires a pretty decently wide range of staples so it can be used for multiple applications if you needed it. And overall the build quality seems pretty darn good, it feels like it would hold up to some abuse and time. I have only used it for a few hundred staples at most so I sure wish I could send it back ... show more

  • Weak, Inaccurate, Load-Chute Difficult
Style: Staple and Nail Gun
Really disappointed. Pros: - Easy to fire staples - Battery has a lot of life Cons: - Everything else - Not strong at all; I was hoping for more power than my manual Arrow-T50. This has (maybe) 75% of the firepower of a manual gun - Because this can shoot multiple sizes / types, the nose is wider than a manual Arrow-T50 - Because this can shoot multiple sizes / types, you have no idea where staple will actually come out. You might be deeper, shallower, left, or right of where you think the staple will come out - Because this can shoot multiple sizes / types, the actual impact seems to be narrower than the T50-staple, which causes the staple to look like "M" when fired. The impact is not over the legs of the staple (so I had to basically use a hammer to flatten every single staple) - Because this can shoot multiple sizes / types, loading of the staples into the chute is REALLY GOOFY - - The T50 staples can move side-to-side in the chute until you slide the spring-retainer in - - You can't load multiple small sections of a T50 strip; load anything more than a single solid strip of T50 staples into the chute and you can't close the spring-retainer without the staples jumping up like an accordion. I shot an entire box of 1,000-staples at like 10-15 staples loaded at a time (because Amazon shipped the T50 staples in a BAG and the typical stacks were all busted up) - Another problem is there's a safety in the nose you have to keep depressed in-order to fire a staple, unlike a manual T50-stapler that you can shoot a staple in the air 10ft. Sometimes you can't get this in an angle that depresses the safety enough to shoot - - The safety is part of the depth-problem... you can't shoot a staple anywhere near the tip of the gun; it's like 1/4-inch behind the safety-tip, so you can't get into tight corners I'm like a perfectionist with OCD, this thing is basically irritated me on all 1,000 staples I shot. There's absolutely no way this should be touted as an upholstery stapler, because it is not strong enough, you can't get in tight corners, and there's no way (even trying REALLY hard) to control the location of the fired staple (see photos). 3-stars is a gift; this might be okay to hang paper on a teacher's cork-board, but is useless in the real-world. ... show more
