  • Good Device
Style: Cable Modem Router - DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit
This router is not exactly easy to install. If you have Xfinity, here is some help. When activating this device, leave your old modem connected so this device can be found by the self activation process. Plug this device into a spare coaxial outlet until it is activated by Xfinity. Then, unhook your old modem and router and replace them with this. A solid blue light is a good thing. This device works well but the wifi range can be questionable. For best results, hook it up on your main floor as close to center of your house as possible. ... show more

  • Doubled my speed
Style: Cable Modem Router - DOCSIS 3.1
First this is for the ARRIS Surfboard G34 DOCSIS 3.1 with built in WiFi. After getting a new M1 Mac Mini I was still having issues with my internet from Comcast. My previous modem was a Surfboard SB6141 which has been working for the past 6 years but Comcast no longer supports that model. I thought it might be time for a upgrade. I wasn't sure if it actually was going to make that big of a difference. I pay for the Blast service for up to 175mpbs but have never gotten of 90mpbs. I blamed it on comcast. Installation: One of the reasons I chose this model was it was a modem and wifi router in one, less to hook up. The instructions that it comes with are not much help. They tell you to scan the QR code, that didn't work. I downloaded their apps, didn't seem to work, turns out they have 2 different apps so you may have to download both to figure out which is the right one. Found it better to connect it to my computer and use my browser to set it up. After spending a hour and a half I finally got it halfway set up. Then I was trying to get it set up with Comcast. Again nothing was working, I was caught in a loop. Turns out Xfinity also has a couple of different apps. Once you figure out the one you need it actually takes you though step by step to activate your modem. Once I figured that out I was online in about 5 minutes. Once I was online I started doing some speed tests and boy was I amazed. My old speed was in the 80's-90smpbs. Now I was getting over 200mbps. Big difference. WiFi is vastly improved also. Our downstairs computer on wifi was lucky to get 5mbps, now it is 150mbps so the range of the wifi is greatly improved. When logging in to the wifi you have 2 choices, 2.4 G and 5 G. Log into the 5 g, the wifi speed is 2 to 3 times faster. It has now been running for several weeks with no issues what so ever and I am still getting well over 200mbps. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • fast and really good quality[ built in Vietnam
Style: Cable Modem Router - DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit
I am not good about reviews ---but to be honest that router/modem in one is the best ever---arris makes a good product --I have owned Motorola for years and replaced one or two that broke. But I had to upgrade as I needed band with for my home office. Issues: Motorola supported 600GBPS but arris can do 1,100 I have paid Xfinity $69 per month and now pay $79 for up to 1,000 GBPS. ( I went from 510 GBPS to 950GPS) , well worth it for my Home Office Video Conference) I now have 3 PC's connected and 2 TVs. Some times all at once--Never a slow Down or lost connection. I can have up to 8 windows open and no static at all. Down side is it costs $310 my Motorola was $100. NOTE: I only use Ethernet. total wired system --note: no WIFI is aloud in my home as My daughter has head aches from wifi!!!! buy this be happy-I am ... show more

  • It's works
Style: Cable Modem Router - DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit
Far as I can tell it works as advertised. My internet isn't consistent. But I don't know if that is the modem or the provider. But I do know that my aris surfboard sbg6700 didn't fluctuate like this one does. But I have 1.2gb service now which requires faster modem.

  • Easy to set up
Style: Cable Modem Router - DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit
It was easy to set up so the only reason I am scoring it only 4 stars is that my Roku would continually lose wifi signal once I installed this unit. Could be my cable company however I did not have the problem before this modem. Had to buy a hard wire Roku and now all I good.

  • Great until easy setup.
Style: 16x4 Cable Modem / AC1900 WiFi Router
Easy setup after COX did there thing with the MAC address and unit synced up with cable provider. WIFI set for PC with WIN II simple just find device on WiFi connect. Adding printer just as easy with the WPS setup, hit the bottom on the router and on the printer and secure connection is made. Seems to be a speed improvement over older router when gaming. ... show more
