Description

The weather station series is based on the Bankers clock from Arne Jacobsen. This clock was designed by the famous Danish architect in 1971 for the National Bank in Copenhagen, which he planned and partially built. The bank could not be completed under its management as it died surprisingly in 1971. The construction was handed over to the architect's duo Dissing + Weitling and the building was completed in 1978. Since then this highly functionalistic construction has been one of Arne Jacobsen's most important designs. The Rosendahl Design Group acquired the license for the production of the Arne Jacobsen watches in 2009. Since then the bankers have been part of the small but fine collection of wall and table clocks of the company. In 2015, the Rosendahl Group decided to sell its designs under the brand Arne Jacobsen.
