The chairs LOOK lovely and we've received tons of compliments on them. They match our decor perfectly too and are heavy and therefore very sturdy. HOWEVER, after having them for just 2 months the faux wood is chipping and denting around the tops of the chairs and near the cushions! It's happening on all 3 chairs too!! I understand they are not real wood, but I still expect them to hold up better than they are! We use them at our kitchen island where people sit a lot, so I understand some wear and tear, but after just 2 months if they look like they do I can't imagine what they will look like in 6 months to a year!! Shorter than I wanted/need. I have a standing desk that doesn’t shift down and I got this stool for the height but it’s not as tall as advertised. BUT I am 6 ft 4 in tall at about 280 lbs, so I think I exceed the weight limit but when I sit on it I probably only lose two or three inches so it is still too short. Also, with my height in mind... sitting in it my feet rest at a comfortable 1/2 tip toe. If I scoot forward a little bit i can have my feet flat on the floor. ... show more

I was looking to purchase 2 bar stools for our small apartment (only got 1). I found this stool, and it was marked down from $216 to about $76 or so. I bought used one from Amazon facility, my guess was someone returned it and it cost $27.66. I love the chair, it looks modern, it's comfortable, it's strong, but I would not pay more than $30 for it. I read a review that it chips very quickly, and it is; you will need to have a wood marker to color all chipped wood. ... show more

I bought two of these. One was perfect and is beautiful, the other one was scratched and scuffed badly. It is hit and miss with this product. I bought a repair kit to try to make the second one decent. Order at your own risk, quality control is not existent with this product -- but if you get a good one, it is really nice. I love these chairs! First off, they were super easy to assemble. It took me about five minutes. But they are so stylish and easy to care for. I wipe the seats, back and base with a damp cloth a couple of times a week (kids, greasy finger spots). Everyone who comes in, notices them and comments about how nice they are. If there is one drawback to them, it's that the chairs are narrow and not suited to wider hips. But they are study and the lift lever works well. I love them! ... show more

It only took about 10 minutes to put together the first one and then 5 minutes each after. I LOVE these chairs because they ( 4) compliment my decor in the kitchen and the entertainment/family room. I have kitchen cabinets that are a smoky/dark brown with byzantine tile that is white and gold while my adjacent family room and dining room is a silver, off white, and different shades of brown. The bar stools are comfortable too!. I find myself and guests gravitating to the four barstools and not my over-stuffed couches and chairs.
