  • Excellent product Not made in China
Size: 2.5 Gallon
If you have a sink so far from the water heater that it takes close to 2 minutes to get hot water then you want one of these. Our kitchen sink has the sprayer hose built into the faucet so it takes about 10 seconds to get hot water, so nice! Caution, you DO need an electrical circuit that can offer the high current. Fortunately our garbage disposal is on a 20 amp circuit (some are only 15 amps). We tapped in before the garbage disposal switch. We do not use the disposal much and when we do, make sure to use only cold water. We feed this little heater with the hot water line, so the big water heater eventually kicks in when this little one runs out. Love Love Love this. I walk to the kitchen now to wash my hands in warm water, so nice. Compact size fits better than some models, case is cool so good insulation. Made in Italy. ... show more

  • Hope I Finally Got A Good Product
Size: 2.5 Gallon
Got 3 others, different brands, the first one I got went bad in 40 days, the next two leaked, finally got a good one! Hooked up easily and didn't leak. All I ask now is for it to last.

  • Need to watch closely first use
Size: 4 Gallon
This is my 2nd Ariston. My first was bought in 1998 for $129. Pretty good deal buying it today at $174! I never changed the anode in my first one and it still lasted 24 years before leaking. I use this under my kitchen sink and plumb the hot water from my main heater into the cold inlet of this 4 Gal unit. The 4 gals start to get cold before my main water heater makes it to the sink, so I remedied this by turning this on up hot enough to be unpleasant and added a temp mixing valve to make the hot water coming into the sink at just the right temp, and this makes the little 4 gal unit last long enough. My only qualm is that if you turn the thermostat to maximum, the PT valve at the top will activate and start relieving the temperature build up. The pressure temp valve is rated for 155 deg before it opens but the water heater has a lower maximum temperature rating which A) it exceeds or B) the TP valve is faulty. I keep the temperature on the Eco setting which is hot enough to warrant the mixing valve as otherwise it would be uncomfortably hot. I find setting the mixing valve at 110 deg is hot enough to quickly soften any food residue on the dishes. ... show more

  • Fantastic product. Awful tech support.
Size: 2.5 Gallon
I'm on my third one. The first one lasted about five years, the second barely two due to a cracked internal glass tank. The third one is new. First, the good... It took two minutes for hot water to get from the main heater to the kitchen sink, or about five gallons of water wasted. Putting this unit under that sink saved that water every time we used it. Here in So. Cal., that is a very big deal. The product is made in Italy, and they make really good stuff. My 2nd unit, however, got a crack in the internal tank even though it was never moved, and the co. rejected the warranty coverage. WARNING: the tech support organization and its practices are set up for commercial customers, NOT CONSUMERS. They also do not communicate internally well at all, causing rampant confusion when trying to pursue a warranty issue. I finally got a replacement unit after writing a scathing letter to them. Three weeks after I got the new unit, I received another e-mail from them refusing to replace the old unit that they had just replaced!!! Do not try to install this product unless you have experience with work like this. Just don't. Plumbers earn their keep for a reason. ... show more

  • Perfect for me!
Size: 8 Gallon
Just hooked everything up today, have the 8 gal and it’s my first hot shower in over 12 months. It’s in the 70’s now. Took a 45min nice warm shower to wash the tub etc. Then turned up water to about 1/2 pressure and almost 1/2 heat for 15mins, hot enough for my muscles. Then started to turn the faucet all the way to hot but started to burn so turned it down so it was bareable and cranked up the water pressure full for another 15mins. Wow, heater is 1.5’ away from shower but didn’t expect that. Less than 15mins later the water was hot 50’ away in the kitchen. I turned the heat knob down half way on the heater. Might turn it up in Winter but super pleased with unit so far! ... show more

  • This is a life changer and a profound water conservation appliance
Size: 2.5 Gallon
It's earth day and appropriately so I decided to weigh in on the reviews. I've had my Ariston 2.5 gallon water heater installed (I did this personally, big fan of DIY projects) for 4 mos. As an avid cook, I am constantly needing short bursts of hot water to rinse my hands, clean utensils, rinse wine glasses, etc. This is the solution. Never a better home improvement idea has been fulfilled that I can even compare to installing this water heater. Because this is a tank, it can provide water at a very low pressure/volume. The sort of low volume that would otherwise not trigger many tankless water heaters to start heating. More importantly, no more grief as you wait endlessly for the water to get hot. Most people aren't even aware that their dishwashers/washing machines are filling up with cold water (on the "HOT" water setting) because the water from the line is not hot yet and the machine will most likely be full by the time the water is hot. I have my tank connected to my incoming hot water line (from the tankless main unit outside my house) to my kitchen sink/dishwasher using a "T" adapter. I power both with a single outlet also with an adapter. The two can run simultaneously as I've discovered without tripping the breaker. This is truly a great product. It has performed flawlessly, it's compact and genuinely attractive. There's no noise while it's heating up the water and it maintains temperature really well. The other cool thing is that if I'm needing more than (2.5 gallons) what's in the tank, the refill water flowing into it (from my tankless main water heater) will be hot by then. Saves money and electricity, wear and tear, etc. Again, in my case, this unit serves as a flow through ('in line") source of hot water. Before purchasing this, I ran the sink until the water was adequately hot and discovered over two gallons of water went down the drain. In a kitchen, it's really common to require incremental and low volume hot water. Constantly waiting and wasting just to do a quick rinse of your hands is enough to justify adding this to your life. However, saving water and adding convenience is what sells it. Remember, this unit is not coming up to temperature gradually, it is storing water at a constant temperature. Whether you go this route or choose a mini point of use tankless unit, you get hot water instantaneously. It's a game changer. I've been so happy (and enlightened) with this that I've offered to install one for a relative who has the same water wasting set up. It's one way (as is this review to inspire people to get one of these) to pay forward wisdom that changes the planet for the better. Don't procrastinate. This will be one of the best decisions you'll make to add convenience to your otherwise crazy family life like mine. And you'll be patting yourself on the back wondering why you hadn't done this a long time ago. Best of luck!!! ... show more
