First off, I am a very hot sleeper. I had a weighted blanket and loved it. But was too hot. Got rid of it and stayed cooler, but that doesn't help ptsd insomnia. I have found a recipe that now has this blanket as a main ingredient. I am a new HUGE fan of bamboo. It's so comfortable and cool. I was over the moon finding a weighted blanket with bamboo (now that I learned bamboo works so well for me to stay cool) I switched to bamboo sheets and pajamas. As a hot sleeper I kept wanting to wear less to stay cool. But read a study (therefore tried it and it helps) I have long sleeve and long leg bamboo pajamas. They are actually ultra thin under layer for staying warm in the cold. But wearing just the underlayment only they are perfect. My skin doesn't get sticky and better sleep. So I was stating cool, but not sleeping through the night. I have slept three nights with this blanket and it's PERFECT! I have it on top of bamboo sheet and no other blankets or throws. So it's a win win. I read some people giving reviews on this blanket being too hot.... honestly I think it's the other things that are the problem. Cotton or microfiber are more heat retaining. I am beyond thrilled that I woke up at 5:21 this am!! Normally I struggle to get to sleep and then wake at 1 or 2 and awake for few hours. So this morning I feel refreshed after having slept straight through. Yes this blanket is more expensive than others.... but if you are hot sleeper.... it's an investment I do not regret. Having ptsd. Sleep is a precious commodity. Okay. Now I am going to ordered another one for my sofa. Blessings! ... show more

    • Stays Clean! And it's white!

My first weighted blanket was light blue (which I love) but for some reason got dirty easily. I have had this white blanket for months and it just stays clean (of course I will wash it at some point). It is also soft & the perfect weight for me & very well made.

This is the first time we have ever had a weighted blanket. We bought the Queen size. We wish it were wider. We may get 2 twin size blankets as the Queen is NOT very wide. But we do LOVE THIS BLANKET.

I adore my Aricove Weighted blanket! It's so amazingly silky soft and lusciously even weighted. Something not shown in the product description, is the 4 loops running down both long edges of the blanket. So, I attempted to remedy that and took my own picture and circled the ties on one side. So, if you were wondering if it has loops for a duvet cover, it's got a total of 8. It could probably benefit from adding two more, one at the top and one at the bottom but I personally, haven't had much trouble with bunching inside a duvet cover. The duffle bag it comes in, is large enough to house both the blanket and a thin duvet cover, if you roll the blanket up inside the duvet cover. Super handy to have. One of the unique qualities about this blanket, is the edging. Yeah, you kind of see it in the pictures, the diagonal forming of the squares, but in order to get that, the edges are formed up of triangles. Some of you may be saying no duh, but I found it really elegant, especially how they continued the alternating small, slim pocket to the larger pockets all the way to the edges. This thing looks like its been quilted, so you know there's been a lot of work put into these babies. Now, where sleep is concerned, it's really helped me a lot. I hadn't really thought about weighted blankets, didn't really need the extra weight, I've always slept fine in the summer till this whole COVID 19 crap hit. During the winter, I tend to get really cold and so typically have three to four comforters piled up over me which then ranges between 12 to 16lbs of weight. Of course, when Summer hits you lose all the weight to lessen the heat. But this summer, when I removed that luscious weight I was struck that night a night terror. The following two nights I had nightmares. The evils of the night tapered off, but I really wasn't sleeping all that well. Don't really know what might have changed to cause the anxiety. The only thing I can think of is the COVID 19 scare hitting my subconscious. During that time, I was fervently wishing I could curl back up in my winter fortress, but that's just way too hot. So, I needed to find another way to get that weight back and thus my search for a weighted blanket began and this one, really stuck out at me. The others just kind of looked cheaply made to me, what with the simple, basic squares that don't look like they'd hold up all that well when put under active use. I kind of bucked at the price but I kept coming back to it, simply because of the apparent quality. I knew my mom had also been curious to try one out, so, I went ahead, bit the bullet and purchased two. I instantly started sleeping better, though I found it initially strange to feel the weight, without the bulk. But all at the same time, it just felt so amazingly comforting. And the best part, it's a lot cooler than three comforters! It took a couple nights for my mother to get accustomed to it, but once she did, it was the best night's sleep she'd had in a long time and she absolutely loves it too. I purchased a third one for one of my roommates for her birthday, and while she wasn't necessarily having sleeping problems, it actually seemed to help her with her snoring. So, yeah, we love our Aricove blankets. They are beautiful! So luxuriously soft, you get the weight without the heat. They're truly awesome and I can't help but wonder how on earth I ever made it through summer without one of these. For that reason, I marked warmth with a one, because it's not going to keep you warm. Not in my opinion. But then, that's why I bought it... ... show more
