My microphone has a non-standard mount so I did a lot of searching for something that might work. This design is great, sturdy, and priced right. I didn't use the enclosed mic mount but used a 3M adhesive backed metal hook instead. This is temporary as the adhesive won't stand the summer heat. I will probably make a small metal bracket to mount into the existing holes that will allow me to move my microphone farther to the right as well as clip on a hand-held transmitter. Easy to install. Just loosen the 10mm bolt holding the panic bar and slide the bracket down the back. The two holes in the bracket align with protruding tabs next to the bolt. Again, great design... ... show more

I went with this style so I could bend the clip holder to make it grab as tight as I wanted, so the CB wouldn't move around over bumps. It works great.

The part is made well and fits all years of the Jeep Gladiator eventhough the supplier said it did not in a response to the question I submitted to them. The installation was simple and fast with the required dash panel removal not much of a problem. I did not use the chrome mic clip provided as it's cheap and looks it. I added one from another Amazon supplier by drilling matching holes in the bracket and usung black socket head screws. Much easier to install than the previous product I had on my gladiator. When I traded it in I knew I wanted something easier to install that was just as sturdy and this product delivered. In concept this is great, easy install and I like the mic position, but the control panel would not go back in and sit flush on either my JT or my wife's JL despite multiple attempts to tweak its position. You have to remove the controls cluster with an interior removal tool (basically a plastic pry bar). It pops off easy, just make sure you put the ignition side in first when you pop it back on. The part fits good and is held on by the screw from the dash bar. I had to slightly bend my back so the Midland handset wouldn't rub on the dashboard. ... show more

This is a perfect mount for a 2018 Wrangler JL. I didn’t want to be drilling any holes to mount my radio. The dash panel to the left of the hand rail was a little tight to pop off... you’ll need a 10mm wrench to loosen one bolt that holds the hand rail enough to slide this in behind it. Love it.
