I loved this machine. Not too loud, reliable, and made perfect cronch ice. Sadly just over a year after we bought it, it just…. Stopped working. Made terrible grinding noises, gray film in the bucket, and no ice. We’ve tried the sparse troubleshooting ideas in the instruction book but it seems to have just kicked the ice bucket.     • Unit is large but produces tiny chewable ice pellets
Love the chewable ice texture it produces!!! Directions suggest using purified water so that’s what we use. No odd flavors. Seems to be fairly slow at producing though. I put water inside each morning (9ish) and by 3 pm it’s full even though I take some out here and there as the day progresses. It puts out a little at a time so I have ice all day until it runs out of water. It’s very quiet in my opinion. It generally keeps the ice pellets frozen all day but if they melt, the water just stays cold in the unit until you open the lid and it starts producing again. It’s not intended to hold ice frozen all the time and directions suggest removing ice and putting in freezer. We’ve done that but it does change the hardness of the pellets. The set up directions are terrible, but we figured it out after a bit. If this guy keeps running as it is now, I’ll be a very happy camper! Keep in mind the dimensions. It takes up a lot of counter space and needs at least 3” around all sides for proper ventilation, and it’s heavy. The delivery box is like 3 times the unit size, which meant it was packed very well. Have only had the unit for 2 weeks so far and have used 4 gallons of water. I’m an ice chewer and it’s pretty much only me using this ice. In summary- I would absolutely buy this again. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this countertop NUGGET ICE MAKER, BUT the company's Customer Service is non-existent! They say that they only have email support, but I have questions about the cleaning process that CANNOT be answered via an email platform. I have asked (via email) for someone from the company to contact me with a phone call, but to NO AVAIL. I don't know how this company will ever sell more of these (wonderful) ice makers if they don't respond to their customers' needs. I'd absolutely be giving this product 5 STARS if only they cared about their purchasers. BUYER BEWARE!! ... show more

We loved the ice and the machine worked for 11 months. After that it started making a clicking noise and leaking water from the bottom. We are very disappointed

This ice maker makes SO much ice and super quickly, and it’s the perfect pebble ice! I only have two super minor issues that you quickly learn to accept because the ice is worth it My first issue is that the motor isn’t as quiet as it’s advertised. While it’s not loud to the point of annoyance (or where you can’t hear anything else), you can hear it going off from a different room. My second issue is that I need to use the scooper to move the ice around to make sure the basket gets filled all the way. As shown in the picture, the ice ends up slanting in the basket, so to get it completely filled up, I need to push the ice around in order for the maker to no longer think it’s filled. Other than those two things (again, super minor!) I love this ice maker! ... show more

It worked great until it didn't. We used it constantly for 11 months, cleaning it regularly. Then one day it started making a horrible loud clicking noise and stopped sucking in water. I cannot find an email address or phone number for the 12-month warranty the advertise above, and Amazon says they are no longer a listed seller, so I can't contact them that way. So very disappointing because we loved it. ******************* We have now used this unit DAILY for 7 months. We keep it in our bar at the house , and take it in our RV every other weekend. Perfect ice. Every time. Perfect for cocktails, perfect for soda, perfect for ice water, perfect for frozen concoctions. Everyone loves it. We bought this 2 months ago and have used it all summer so far. We transport it back and forth between our RV and our home, so we have used it daily. The ice is perfect nuggets - "rabbit ice" as we often call it - and crunches amazingly. It also is IDEAL for making frozen concoctions with our margarita machine. The noise level is a little more than I wish, but it is acceptable. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, a minor quip is that the ice tends to pile up in the very front of the bin and needs to be moved around a bit to fill it all the way. ... show more

Loved it at first! 9 mo.later it began squeeling and it was cleaned weekly as per booklet. I cleaned this machine several times over a couple of days, unplugged it let it sit overnight and repeated same steps and to no avail still making squeeling sound.Cannot find a repair shop for this they say they are considered THROW AWAYS!! ... show more

UPDATE: 10/23/22 - I have found a third piece of metal from the machine mixed in with the ice and it has started leaking thus ruining the piece of wooden furniture I have been keeping it on in my kitchen I really enjoy having this machine in my home. It has been extremely convenient to have quite a bit of ice on hand at all times, let alone Sonic style nugget ice. The ice refills after every time you use it or refreshes every 8 hours, whichever comes first! It's perfect for my work schedule as I fill my water bottle in the morning and I'll have a fresh new batch waiting for me when I get home. On the weekends it has no /problem keeping up with constant refills and makes ice quickly. I purchased this machine in March but recently over the past couple weeks (August now) I have found two (about fingernail size) pieces of metal in the ice basket. I think they are part of the screw mechanism that moves the ice through the machine. I consider myself lucky I have found these while filling my cup and not with my teeth or choking on them. My machine still seems to be working but finding that has made me be more cautious when filling up. It says they have a 12-month warranty but I am not sure of the best method of contacting the manufacturer. ... show more
