A friend told me about this and it really worked. Usually I do my hair in the morning and before I leave the house it looks great. I've been dragging my feet on writing this review. This is my first tube of the "new and improved" Aquage Straightening Ultragel. I won't dwell on how soft and frizz free the previous formula kept my hair - for several days. Nor the fact that I would pay even crazier premiums if I could just get the old formula back. lol The new formula is great the first day, but then the ends of some of my layers feel very dry and a bit frizzy. I have used this product for years and loved it. Now the packaging has changed and it seems like the formula has as well. It’s just not like the last one I bought at all. I’ve used it a few weeks and it seems different on my hair. This morning when I squeezed the tube the gel was like liquid. For the price, it’s been quite a disappointment. This is hard for me to find in my area so I was excited to find it on Amazon! It works wonderfully for my hair that is long and graying so it has a bit of frizz to it. Love it

    • Oh no, why did they change it?
I have used Aquage straightening gel for years--maybe decades now--after every shampoo and have loved this product. A while back I needed to stock up again (I always buy a back-up bottle to have on hand when I start a new bottle, so I never run out). I noticed that the packaging had changed, but I figured it was the same stuff. Now some months go by and I finally open the new bottle to find--not the lovely gel I was used to, but some runny stuff that squirted out of the bottle and out of my hands. I am SOOOOO disappointed that they changed the formulation and turned it into this runny stuff (consistency of cheap hand sanitizer). No, no, no. Now what will I use on my hair? Not this.
