So me and the kid were going on a cruise, and one of the many, many add on options was renting a floating foam mat at the cruise line's private island for a stupidly high sum of $ for only a few hours' use. There had to be a better option - and THIS IS IT. 1. First off, this raft deflates flat, and takes up very little space in your bag. 2. Even after you inflate it, it's not heavy at all or a pain to drag around the mile-long dock while en route to the beach. 3. You get that nice water flow all around you because of the mesh, keeping you cool and comfy while in the water. Those foam mats can keep water from circulating well to your back when lying down. Yuk. 4. Choice of colors. That was NBD to me, but to the kid, it was everything. She got her favorite color and was super happy about that. No worries about "I don't like the mat color" emotional breakdowns. 5. Even with arthritis, it wasn't difficult for me to switch from a "raft" to a "chair" while using this. 6. Looks pretty well made to me. 7. It traps the air in the cushions well. I popped open the air entryways after we were done, and it didn't want to deflate on it's own. I had to sit on them *and* squeeze the entryways' bases open to get them to deflate. I figure that's good if you are using this in the water - last thing you really want is for the air to rush out if the caps on the air entryways pop open. 8. The kid didn't feel like she was missing out on anything in comparison to everyone else who had a raft. In fact, she was convinced a couple other kids were jealous of her raft. That made her feel better about mommy being a bargain hunter. ;) 9. Nothing stupid/cutesy in the design that will embarrass you while using it. The stripes are classic beach decor - there's no dumb looking animals, silly prints or cartoon characters. and finally 10. Liked them so much I think I'll buy ones for the rest of the fam who didn't go on our "girls only" trip. I'm looking forward to enjoying these rafts for years to come. ... show more

I have used this in lakes in the ocean. It’s so easy to transport easy to blow up easy to deflate and so far nice and sturdy. Indispensable on vacation, vacation and any relaxing swim day. Only problem is a lot of places with lifeguards don’t let you use Floaties, but That doesn’t say anything about the floaty does it I love it sometimes I straddle it sometimes I lay my chin on one of the blowup parts and sometimes I lay on it like a hammock. This is a great float for a swimming pool. It is well made, sturdy and should last a long time. I have a second one that I bought a year ago at a different store, and it is still like new. I bought this second one to have when guests come to visit me (I live in a gated community with a number of resort like pools). The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because it is a little pricey here on Amazon. I bought the first one elsewhere and it was considerably less expensive. Unfortunately, it is a seasonal item, and when I decided to buy the second one they were no longer available at the other store. But that too is the great thing about Amazon--you can get nearly anything, at any time, if you are willing to pay the price. ... show more

Love this it’s so perfect! You can use this in so many different ways whether lounging, sitting or swimming. I like to use it while sit/floating - you can use like a swing/sling (with floats under arms), you can straddle sit (with floats in front and back of you) or you can swim/float on your stomach (with floats under your armpits). You can use it like a floating devise while swimming forwards and backwards with arms stretched in front of your head (like a paddle board), it’s really so versatile!! You can even use it for tanning if you keep your body straight enough and it works your core a little while you balance without putting stress on your neck (especially if you adjust how much air you want in each float). It can be a little challenging to lay flat on your stomach to tan your backside but if you keep one leg straight and the other slightly bent out to your side, and then release some air from the neck float it’s manageable and doesn’t hurt your neck. I like to lay an my back and do leg lifts while floating (with one float under my neck and the other under my knees) and do small sit-ups by bringing my knees forward with the head float supporting my head. There’s no pressure On your spine since your floating by you can feel the burn in your tummy. I also like to use it for stretching my legs/IT band by putting one leg in at a time with the mesh part in the water gathered/resting by your ankle. I use the resistance of the floats to stretch by leaning forward and rotating my leg. My favorite is to just lay with one pillow under my neck and the other below my knees, with my arms straight out, eyes closed- just free floating. It feels so nice because your body stays in the water because of the sling/swing & your neck and head rest comfortably on the neck float. Perfect size for my short legs 5’4. My husband can use it too at 5’10 but I think the larger size would be more comfortable for him to fully stretch and lounge his long legs. If you need more room on the sides and don’t want your arms hanging freely in the water, get the larger one because I read it’s wider and longer. This one has just enough coverage to clear my hips and not too long for my height. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. And I think I want to get the bigger one for my hubby as a gift because he loves it too and always tries to steal it from me. Lol. ... show more
