Features

  • NOTE An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub is required and sold separately. (Please make sure the firmware for the Aqara Hub and the Aqara Home App have been updated to the latest version). Easily mount the Curtain Motor E1 onto your existing curtain track or rod without any additional tools, it will be hidden behind the curtain and will not change the decoration. (* The Rod Version supports most popular rod curtains (grommet kit included), EXCLUDING EXTENDABLE RODS. Rod diameter range: 0.99 - 1.25 inch.)
  • Multiple Control Methods After setting the guidance in the Aqara Home app, you will be able to control your curtains when you are away from home, or by voice commands with Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant. Additionally, the built-in light sensor allows the Curtain Driver E1 to be controlled automatically based on the actual brightness. If it's too bright outside, the curtains will close by themselves.
  • Smart Home AutomationsThe Curtain Motor E1 can help you to enjoy automated control of your existing curtains based on weather, time, lighting conditions or other Aqara devices triggered. You can set a timer to customize a sleep-wake routine that perfectly fits your personal schedule. Automations via HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT are supported.
  • Powerful MotorThanks to its powerful motor, the maximum load of the Curtain Motor E1 can reach up to 26.4 pounds. You can choose between one or two motors per window. In the case of installing two, they will be able to be grouped together so that you can open the curtains simultaneously.
  • Long Battery LifeA huge 6000 mAh rechargeable battery may last for up to a year without charging. (The calculated battery life refers to opening and closing a curtain on a 5 ft track (i.e., 2 curtain drivers per window) once a day, and it also depends on friction, curtain weight and type.) Moreover, the device can be charged via the Type-C using either a powerbank or a power supply (both not included).

  • Works well, worth the money.
Style: Rod Version
The product works well with large curtains if there is low friction on the rod. The minimum rod size and inability to traverse stepped rods is a bit of a drawback. Overall very happy with the performance and long battery life.

  • Working fine
Style: Rod Version
At first, I was sent a defective one which was not able to set travel distance using the Aqara app, I contacted Aqara and they sent me a replacement which is now working fine. Siri integration is excellent. Therefore, I recommend it to anyone whose plan is to automate their curtains. NB: Requires Aqara Hub to function. ... show more

  • Works Great with Home Assistant
Style: Rod Version
This thing works great with Home Assistant using Zigbee2MQTT. Has plenty of power to move the heavy blackout curtain we have covering our drafty french door. Installing it on the curtain rod is easy. We didn't use the clips for the pleats. That being said, it was a pain to set up in Home Assistant. I knew I needed to do a manual configuration for the sendpoints since I don't have an Aqara hub, but it took several times before it worked. Part of that problem is the way the instructions explain it. The other part of the problem was that my curtain needed to open from right to left, which isn't the default. The instructions aren't clear for setting the endpoints manually, which you have to do without an Aqara hub. I wasn't sure if it needed a button press sequence at the beginning and end of the process, but every time I did this, it didn't work. It also wasn't stated that the trolley will move on it's own when setting it up, but it did (no need to help it along). What worked was only using the button sequence for setting the endpoints manually when I started the process, let it proceed to the other end on it's own after getting it started, and stop on its own.. I took more than a few tries and a bit of frustration to get it to work, but it does work great and was worth the effort. I have automations set to close the curtain after we leave the house, and open it part way (the side of the french doors we use) when we return. The curtain helps tremendously with keeping the drafts out. ... show more

  • Got a used one but paid full price 🤷🏻♂️
Style: Track Version
The device itself is pretty nice. Feels solid and a bit more powerful than the SwitchBot equivalent. Works well on my I rail. But… the item I received is definitely used/opened/returned. It has some marks on, the bags are a bit torn, and you can tell it was somewhat assembled even though I paid for a new item. I would buy this again, but not from this seller. ... show more

  • Great replacement for SwitchBot
Style: Rod Version
Originally, i had a 3/4" EMT pipe as my curtain rod and a Switchbot. However, the switchbot always experienced connectivity issues with my Home Assistant and it just wasn't strong enought to reliabily open/close the curtain fully every time. I decided to give this Aqara product a try and its working great so far. Connected right away to my ZigBee network via ZHA and controlled directly via HA. I did have to upgrade my curtain rod to a 1" EMT pipe though to be able to use this, so keep that in mind. Other than that, it works great. This is a great replacement for a switchbot if you have an existing Aqara hub or ZigBee network that supports it. ... show more

  • Buggy but works
Style: Track Version
A little buggy with home assistant but after taking time to set up it works. It also does work with the ikea vidga rails. I used zip ties to make extra loops so the ikea rollers could attach.

  • Welcome to the future!
Style: Rod Version
I got on the Aqara bandwagon after looking at popular smart home tech Youtubers that kept recommending this company's products. I started with the door and window sensors and have now received and hooked up a Aqara curtain motor (rod version) in my living room. Highly recommend you get the right size of diameter (1 inch to 1.25 inch diameter rods). I hooked up the motor on Monday morning after three separate trips to Walmart to get the right type of rod that would work. it's a fairly quick gadget, not that loud, and cost me about $107 total to get one at my location here in Texas. I did hook it up to Alexa and am loving the ability to voice control the curtain. Can't wait to purchase more of these throughout the year until the house is all setup! ... show more

  • Very pleased with this HomeKit curtain automation
Style: Rod Version
I love Aqara and I have quite a few of their devices that I use in my HomeKit network. I installed this on my round rod curtains, I needed two of them, and they work like a charm. I did have to purchase a newer Aqara Hub (M2) to support the Zigbee 3. So far this has worked well. I highly recommend it as a HomeKit curtain automation solution. ... show more
