The rod is easy to assemble and is sturdy once done, even though it is a small diameter rod. Overall, it looks good, except that one of the pieces came with little scratches on it. I didn't need to use all of the parts, so it's not a big deal to me, but I felt I should mention that. It is a really long rod, and it screws together easily just by inserting the white 'screw' end into another piece and screwing it together. There are 2 different pieces that you use on each end, where you can screw the end cap pieces onto. My window is too close to the adjoining wall so I couldn't use one of the end cap pieces, but the curtain rod hooks I used have little screws that you tighten to hold the rod in place, so it worked out great. I'm happy with the rod, but I had to take a Star off for the piece that had all those little scratches in it. I would have given it 4.5 Stars if I could.
