The laptop is nice. Looks fairly new. The only wear on it is a few scratches on the bottom. No dents or dings, it’s in really good condition. However, the ad for this shows the model as a Z0UU3LL/A, which is made in 2017. The laptop I received is A1466, released in 2014. A big difference. I didn’t want a laptop that old, which is why I was going for the 2017. Exactly as described. Battery holds a very strong charge, unit looks mint, and the factory restore had it ready to roll. This is the second MacBook Air we've owned with the first being brand new. Since getting this one for my high schooler at a great value I've bought a second Amazon renewed - a two year old MacBook Pro. Again, exactly as advertised and at a huge savings over a new laptop. Bonus: the optional insurance coverage is a really good deal comparatively speaking. All in all, great stuff! ... show more

My computer arrived with a Spanish keyboard and a very visible dent on the top right screen. When I went back to the product description, nowhere did it mention receiving a keyboard that wasn’t English. Very deceptive. It makes typing a pain because of errors and has dramatically decreased my typing speed. The damaged corner is visible from across a room and was the very first thing I noticed when I opened the box. I was wary of buying this after reading reviews. A lot of people said they received a 2015 Macbook Air instead of the 2017 listed on the product page. I got the 2017 i7 version. I checked the SN to verify the specs and was happy that I got the correct laptop. The laptop is in good condition. Very clean, a couple minor scratches on the underside of the chassis but no dents or dings. It seems to be in good working order. The Magsafe charger works but it looks rough. It is discolored and has some pretty large gouges in the plastic. There is a good bit of black grime along the seam too. The pop outs that allow the cord to wrap around the block has one of them broken. That's a little disappointing. The review sheet that came with the laptop lists the computer as Grade B - Used and the charger as Grade A - Used. I would say they have it wrong. The laptop seems to be Grade A - Used. The charger is like Grade D - Severe Wear and Tear; Damaged but functional. Screen quality is mediocre. I knew these didn't have very good screens coming in so that is to be expected. Blacks can get blotchy and the colors don't seem all that vibrant. It isn't a retina display and I knew what I was getting into before buying it. The screen is still useable and is fine for typical use. I will update the review if I discover any issues after more use. ... show more

I bought this Air as a replacement for my wife's quite old MacBook (heavy, can't update, insufficient memory). I used the backup to restore to the Air and everything worked perfectly. Within 2 hours she was using the new machine. Transitioning four versions of MacOS took a little getting used to. We're very happy with it five months later. Sidenote: I had previously purchased, on recommendation, a Microsoft Surface. I spent weeks trying to get her email copied over, get calendars, files and other configurations set up. Windows can be "too helpful" but in the wrong way. Macs just work beautifully all the time. Transitioning from her "user-friendly" Mac to a Surface was also proving quite a challenge. ... show more

It died after 5 months. I've been an IT for 15 years and tried everything to get it going again. Emailed the company, granted its outside of the 90 days, but it hasnt even been 6 months and they told me. "Sorry. It's out if our warranty" I'd never work this company again. Change my mind
