I got this to use as a 'smart tv' machine - it's hooked up to my living room TV to run youtube, pipe Spotify into my sound system, and all those similar jobs. It does it with aplomb. I don't need the most current graphics card - I need to be able to render youtube, netflix, and other streams in 4k, I need a small form factor, and I need good wifi. I bought this at a low price to use with our TV. As a used 2014 version my expectations were low, but it was for a low expectation use — just internet and messages and mail on the TV in media room. It worked. My concern it was a 2014 product and that it might come with a 2014 version of Mac OS. Description also said no wireless. Also said 256 GB SSD. What came had recent Catalina OS, had functional wireless, and had a 1 TB HDD. HDMI output works perfectly with our 4K tv. USB 3 all okay. There were a few scratches on base, but otherwise fine cosmetically. It may be a crapshoot with such things. I updated to most recent Mac OS Monterey without problem. Wireless and all else fine. HDD boots slower than the SDD I have on my main Mac Computers, but fine for my occasional use. Accept it is a crapshoot. For me it works. Good luck. ... show more

I've had this for around 10 months, and it is one of my best computers. It has been the best mini computer I've had. Even though it's a few years old, the only problems I've had are that it takes about 5-10ish seconds to open an application, and It is a little hot to the touch but it has never overheated and I use this for video-editing and 3d rendering and printing. Overall I recommend it to anyone who wants a mini-computer or is looking for a cheaper Apple desktop. ... show more

    • Do not buy this! They claim it is a refurbished item, yet it doesn't work
I bought this item, and when I received it, and plugged it in, it would not boot up. It only went to a screen that had a folder with a question mark on it (software issue) and had the apple support website. It would not even go into recovery mode to be able to reinstall macOS. Will be returning it and getting my money back. Save yourself the headache and just purchase a new one. It is easier than dealing with people who obviously are just out to get money by selling a product that clearly does not work. ... show more

I had a very old Mac that needed updating and I didn’t want to buy a whole new iMac this does the job for me, it was a bit of a hassle to set up but that could be user error, it runs great I love it!
