the only difference from my older iPod (when it was new), it takes a bit longer to recharge and hesitates a bit before it starts to play or continue to the next chapter of an audiobook but, looks new, performs perfectly so far and I think the sound is superior to my 6th gen. I received an upgraded version, no complaint there.. I think for the price the guarantee could be longer than 90 days.., but other reviews were so good it was worth the risk I've been looking at players for a year... not seeing anything that works as well as iPods for my use... playlists for exercise, dance, audiobooks and hands (eyes) free study... making a recording for materiel I need to memorize while doing other things yes, multi tasking will be the end of western civilization right now, listening to Na' auao while doing my taxes... I don't use bluetooth, I don't care if I can't download pay for play apps, it doesn't need a camera or to be able to start my car from miles away... it would be nice if it would do my tax paperwork... I wanted to be able to make playlists and listen audiobooks... on a dependable device, something that even the most expensive DAPs seem to fail at, at too high of a rate to make it worth buying and this, does that perfectly I wish I could send my sixth gen in to be rebuilt but, might be cheaper to just purchase another one of these burning sage hoping apple execs realize, we don't all want to carry a $1,500 brick around to listen to music... iPod sales dropped when apple duplicated iPhone features on it and doubled the price I've read months of reviews (mostly paid advertising) and message boards of people looking for a replacement for their iPod... I wonder if they didn't understand that we were not buying them every year, because...they continued to work, each of mine lasted at least five years and I play them daily, I use them for study... the next company who comes up with an iPod replacement, will make a fortune I suggested it to LG who are said to have the best sound in smartphone land... in the mean time thank you amazon-renewed... you delivered!!! ... show more

I got this for my son. Immediately we noticed that it doesn’t hold a charge. Battery dies in about 10 every time! Which extremely inconvenient and Poor quality in my opinion. We did get the iPod to download games. However after playing for a little bit the device gets extremely hot! Without a case when it gets hot can be a safety hazard for small children. Sound quality is good and functionality is good, even when m dropped it in the tub. Wanted to love this, but it just too many defects. ... show more

It's basically an iPhone that doesn't make cell phone calls but still has tremendous functionality, including web browsing. Maybe it will do web calls, I haven't tried. Honestly, I love it.

Battery life is poor, needs charging every night. But for the Great Low Price, it's manageable. Everything else works fine. Overall, I'm happy with my refurbished iPod.

    • Good but wasn't worth it after a few months
This worked well for about two months and now we can't get it turn on. I have bought 5 different ipod touch and this is the first I had problems with. We used it to allow our 12-14 year olds to have internet with WiFi and not have a phone/plan.

    • Don’t buy from seller
The reviews speak for themselves. Selling garbage and saying it’s refurbished. Unit would not stay charged and it was a present so we had to send it back and had to buy one as a a LATE present.
