Liked the finish on it… well made…easy to put together, attractive, weight of the canvas shade, Disliked the plastic parts, especially the rollers on the hooks that support the shade. the sun will crystallize them… the spikes that anchor it need to be longer, way too short… the explanation on how to assemble it was sketchy. Took us 3 to get 1 good one and that was still by mixing pieces from 2nd and 3rd. First one had two main supports damaged because it’s a heavy box and there is no package protection on the edges so if it gets dropped or set on its edge the thin metal pieces will dent. If they can figure out how to package it better, I would have had no complaints. Once we had all the parts whole, it was easy to get set up and works great! We are SUPER happy with the price and quality. Pro-tip; ad gravel into the lower posts to make them withstand the wind /weather. I also added a self made “necklace” with Gera hook (see pictures) in order to hold the fabric back (when not needed). Good quality, easy assembly, we love it!

I have mixed feelings about the Aoxun 10'x12' Outdoor Pergola. On the positive side, I love the concept and the design. The adjustable canopy that can slide back and forth is a great feature, and the size of the pergola is perfect for our backyard. For the price, it offers decent value, especially in terms of aesthetics. However, there are several downsides. First, the pergola is extremely lightweight, which raises concerns about its durability. The instructions were not clear, and the pictures were hard to interpret, which led me to take it apart and reassemble it a few times. One solution I found for the lightweight issue was to fill and compact sand in each of the pole legs, and that has helped it stay grounded during strong winds. Despite this, the structure still doesn’t feel very sturdy. Another issue I’ve encountered is with the retractable shade. It’s supposed to be held in place by magnets, but the magnets are too weak to keep it open or closed. I ended up using zip ties to rig it so the shade stays in the desired position. On the plus side, the shade is designed with holes to drain water when it rains, which is a nice feature. While I do like how it looks in my garden, the pergola does not appear as sturdy as it does in the pictures. I don’t think it’s suitable for anyone looking for a long-term structure. Based on my experience, I’d estimate it might last me about three years. For those seeking a more permanent or durable pergola, I wouldn’t recommend this one. ... show more

I just received this pergola in the mail yesterday. It shipped fast and was nicely packaged, besides the box being beat up a little but that could've happened in transit. I'm not able to put this together until next week due to some landscaping being done but I went ahead and opened the package to make sure all the pieces were there, they were! The only downside is that there was one large piece that has a small dent in it (pictured). I don't think it will affect how it goes together or the structure of it, the piece looks otherwise straight. I'll update next week when I have it together. The color is a gunmetal gray and shade screen, a nice brown color. Overall seems to be well constructed for the price, the metal is lightweight but not enough to be worried about sturdiness. If it goes up well, even with the small dent, I plan to anchor it down with some cement in planters. I definitely think it will look great if all goes well. Definitely worth the price! ... show more
