The bike shipped relatively quickly and I was happy to see that it arrived with the battery, so for me at least, there were no delays in getting out on the road once the bike was assembled. Fortunately, the box arrived in good condition, with no signs of shipper or warehouse abuse. Everything inside was well packed and protected, no scuffs, dings or paint issues to detract from the sharp appearance of the bike. Assembly was straight-forward and the included tool kit covered pretty much all of the tools required to complete the process. The brakes seem to be adjusted well out of the box and have no problem locking up either tire without rubbing while riding. The shifter, however, doesn't find 6th gear, so I'll need to tweak that still. But honestly, unless you have very little power in your legs, or are pedaling up the steepest of inclines, shifting is pretty much unnecessary with this bike even on PAS 1. While I haven't verified this yet with GPS, the speedometer reports a max speed of about 28mph on flats. This can be locked to a lower speed within the bikes controller settings. Now here is something which potential purchasers should know about this bike, and perhaps all bikes of similar origin. Just because you see a similar looking bike out there with another manufacturer's name on it, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be getting the same bike when you buy it elsewhere, even if there is no difference in advertised specs. Sellers of Chinese imports, more often than not, will think nothing of just re-labeling components with better ratings to try to compete with higher-end (and usually higher-priced) offerings to try to get that competitive edge. After all, a sticker is nearly free, compared to using components with the actual capabilities printed on it. Unlike other ebikes offered in the past with this frame, this bike does NOT use the popular BAFENG hub motor. Rather, one from a relatively unknown company named WUXI TRUCKMOTOR, who has only one motor type rated for 48v on their website and that motor is also rated for 500w. While it is possible that this uses a customized offering from that company, I will say that in my experience with these types of items, it is unlikely. But the thing with electrical items is that it's pretty easy to flesh out the truth. For instance, the wattage shown on the display of this supposed 750w ebike NEVER goes above 632w, even with a full charge and scaling a hill so steep as to slow the motor almost to a stall. This should not be, as a 48v motor with a controller limited to 20amps should be able to deliver up to 960watts, limited only by the battery's ability to provide current and the motor's ability to shed heat. So while it would take further investigation to figure out where things are being limited, it's not difficult to see that the actual performance is nowhere close to what is advertised, IF the controller display is accurate in it's reporting (and yes, I have confirmed that it is configured properly.) Again, current meters are pretty basic stuff, so no reason to doubt it. The battery is manufactured by a company called "Suzhou Juyun New Energy Technology Co" who, according to their website, uses cells from Samsung, Lishen and HLY. What's in this battery? Can't know without opening it, which I may eventually do, but don't assume that they are Samsung because other similar-looking ebikes indicate this. The battery weighs just over 9lbs, including the case, framework, BMS, locking hardware, etc. Using "middle of the road" estimations for power densities of common use "NMC-type" Li-Ion batteries, 720wh (48vx15ah) should weigh about 8.5lbs. Somehow, I doubt that all of that extra material only weighs 8oz., or that the cells are "Tesla Quality". Couple that with the fact that at the 632w max draw this bike seems to be capable of, one should be able to ride for over one hour on max throttle with no pedaling, which based on my last 10+mile ride it absolutely couldn't do, the "15ah" claim should probably also be taken with a large grain of salt. I would not be surprised if the actual usable Wh rating is 500wh or less, which is more in line with 11.6Ah text in the marketing material and which conflicts directly with what's on the sticker and the product description from the seller. In other words, if you are hoping that the marketing material is old and the product has been upgraded, it probably hasn't. So yeah, the bike is nice, and probably worth the price (provided you get it on a good sale for ~1300.) But if you think you are getting a great deal based on the specs, then you are likely falling into a trap. If you want an eBike with the specs shown for this one and weigh more than my 180lbs, I suggest you keep looking. This one's probably not for you. I bought this bike based on several reviews on Amazon. I have to agree with the reviewers who talked about how great this bike is and at this price point it's a good bargain. I would list the 5 star attributes as: 1. Easy Assembly 2. Great handling with the full suspension 3. Good battery range - I get 38 miles with mine using peddle assist on level 2 in 7th gear 4. With battery removed its makes a good flat surface cruiser that doesn't take a lot of effort to peddle. 5. Display is easy to read and understand. 6. Quality of design and the fit, finish and assembly are excellent. Some things to consider when buying based on my experience: The display does not have an elapsed time feature so you have to make a mental note of when you start your ride and finish. I have another ebike that has this feature and it makes it easy to see if you are improving your times to complete the same route. As another review mentioned, the key can be finicky and take some jingling and manipulation to get it to turn on. Taking the battery out is easy but the same fussing around is required to reinstall it. There is an annoying banging noise that comes from the rear shock when it compresses, not a functional problem but just annoying. I did check that all the bolts were tight on the mounting points but the noise comes from the shock rod. The NOT SO GREAT items: 1: As described in the listing the battery ships separately which I assumed would mean in a separate box at the same time. Not the case. After several emails to them they determined that the battery was never shipped from the warehouses. Total time to receive the battery 15 days. That's unacceptable. 2: The bike came with a headlight that was damaged in shipping. It's been 27 days and numerous emails and attached pictures to document the problem. They committed to send a replacement but so far nothing. 3: I would sum up their customer service as pretty much non responsive. If you buy this bike and you have any problems you can expect a long slog to get your problems resolved. It's to bad that a great bike suffers from such substandard customer service. ... show more

As we age it seems to be harder to get up those hills, bumps really, so it is nice to be able to get a little or a lot of help when needed. went for the full ride suspension for both my wife and i as we live in the country with dirt roads. also added handle bar riser for a little more comfort.

I've had the bike for 2 months now. I got 23 miles on the 1st charge. Tested all 5 PAS modes and throttle. Since I have averaged 33 miles per charge. I mostly use PAS 1. I have had no issues. It would be better for me if it had 8 gears.

Bike worked for 10 miles. Since then it stopped working and shows "error 24". Vendor sent a new controller but that did not fix the issue. They then asked for pictures of the motor. I sent those. Since then, vendor has stopped responding. Bike is well within warranty period, yet vendor is not honoring. Don't bother calling, no one picks up. I now own a very expensive paperweight. Update: Vendor sent new motor and bike works well again. ... show more
