    • An excellent introduction to acrylic painting
Color: Multicolor
All styles of painting carry their own challanges and unique strengths and acrylic is no excepiton. It dries very fast, for better or worse. It can be used at all degrees of transparancy, from near watercolor to impasso. The viscosity of the paint controls so much, the first thing you need to learn to do is control that. This gives a great intoduction to that and to all of the challenges of acrylic in an easy, convenient format. You can use this as a kit on its own or as a step into more serious acrylic painting and it's great either way. These are lovely and easy to follow. The paint is quite thick, but thins nicely with water. I might add GAC to make it a little easier yet still keep its longevity. I'm torn on that. Certainly if you are using this as a step into serious acrylic painting, you will want that sooner or later. I would also pick up a much smaller brush, say a #1 round, for the detail work. The brushes in the kit are great, but I think a finer one would round out the set nicely. That's not to say the kit can't be used as is. It can, and it's fine. I just think adding those two items will make it easier. The images are lovely and the printing on the canvas is perfect and clear. The instrucitons are excellent. I'm so happy with these! This is my first time painting, and I have nerve damage in my hands, plus poor eyesight. I was able to complete these with ease. The designs are very forgiving; the numbers clear (plus there's a schematic). Each canvas has its own set of paints, brushes, a color pic, and a schematic to follow. The paints are in excellent condition. I ironed the canvases, and they're very nice. I bought frames to put these up in my living room. Will definitely buy from them again! I sort of wish the medium brush was slightly larger. It's really close to the small, and there's a gap between the med and lg. But that is such a tiny thing. Overall, these are outstanding! I'm really enjoying painting, and totally happy with the seller and the quality of these kits. ... show more

I love paint by numbers. They are my relaxing time. I love painting, but I have little actual skill. This is so fun and easy to do. The numbers cover really well, the paints are easy and labeled.

These are what we expected. Consider this for fun as a way to pass the time. They aren't real high quality but enough to be enjoyable. I would consider it wall art but I would buy it again for my purposes

Even with the smallest brush the beard portion too small for painting so this portion ends up not looking right on all the canvases. Such a shame.

These paint by numbers are so fun. It's my new favorite activity to unwind and find catharsis. The paint is decent. The only thing I might recommend is getting your own brushes - the brushes don't hold up as well by the end of the painting.

My brain floats whenever I do paint by numbers, no thoughts only painting haha. I love these, there were a few spots on the canvases that don't have the numbers, but that's no biggie, the spots without numbers were small, and I just wing it. Me and my family like to do these together, so the variety is nice, and the paint and brushes are pretty good quality, some certain colors are kinda thin though, so you have to layer the paint kinda thick over the numbers so you can't see them lol. ... show more
