Features

  • Anubias Stardust Mini is the smaller version of Stardust and is a relatively new species that was developed through selective breeding and is highly sought after for its unique appearance.
  • The leaves are typically dark green with light specks and streaks that resemble stars or glitter and look great in the foreground or midground of your tank.
  • Ships 2-3" tall rooted in wool which should be removed prior to planting. Gently squeeze the pot, peel back the wool, rinse, and plant! Keep the rhizomes above your substrate or the plant can begin to rot.
  • Will thrive attached directly onto hardscape such as driftwood and stones using thread or aquarium glue and will grow fine either immersed in a humid environment or fully submerged.
  • Easy Care - Anubias have low light requirements, can benefit from regular fertilization, and do not require additional Co2 making them a great choice for beginners to live aquatic plants.

Description

SubstrateSource Anubias Nana (Anubias barteri var. nana) is one of the most popular aquarium plants due to its tolerance to a wide range of aquarium conditions. This plant can be grown fully submersed under water. We like to use this plant on branching driftwood or along the foreground attached to stones. It is especially great for shrimp tanks, community aquariums, and many styles of aquarium aquascapes. For optimal growth, tie the plant to wood or rocks. SubstrateSource potted plants are grown in 2-inch slotted or mesh plastic pots. The pots are made out of recycled plastic. Potted plants are grown without soil in rockwool media. The rockwool media allows the plants to grow in a clean, soil-free environment, ready to ship. To prepare your plant for the aquarium, first gently remove the pot and peel away the rockwool media. Tie the Anubias to an anchor (soaked driftwood, stone, or other decoration item. Note: Never release plant species into the wild. Before discarding excess growth, allow the plants to fully dry. Photo depicts sample plant, not the actual plant you will receive. Some discoloration may occur during shipping due to the absence of light during transit.

I bought a few of these anubias plants. There were two apiece, so I ended up with six. I unpotted them and meant to tie them to driftwood, but I never got around to it, so they just float around. They’ve been in my tank for over two months now. Almost zero melt/die-off, they’re growing (pretty fast, for anubias!) and green and healthy. No pests or algae came with them. Arrived quickly and in great shape bright green and healthy. I put them in a 2in clear glass cups that attach to the glass since no soil required just small amount of gravel to help them stay put. My crawfish is destroying any plant on the bottom but he's worth it.

I was expecting something bigger at first and I realized i ordered NANA when i was trying to get Barteri. But for the Anubias Nana, great quality, healthy rhizomes and leaves ordered 5 pots and all 5 pots each has 2 rhizomes about an inch with 4+ leaves. total of 10 plants. no brown or yellowing. i healthy leaf fell off but probably due to my handling. 5/5 would recommend ordering. There's already new growth happening about one month in! The only thing is that the photos of the product on amazon when purchasing show a more mature plant than the one you actually receive (based on leaf shape). I'm excited to get some bigger leaves going in the tank. So far "Fish" the betta really loves resting on this one. I used a biosubstrate and some stones and planted directly into the substrate. I ordered last night on the 17th, the plant was delivered late afternoon on the 20th in a shipping box that was wrapped in a protective sleeve. Arrived in great condition. As you can see by the pictures it came in a moist plastic sleeve to keep the plant from drying out and when opened it looks great! I have it quarantined for a while before putting it in my aquarium (I do this ALL my plants) but I don't anticipate any issues. I am very happy so far and I will be ordering from this company agan.
