Product fit was confirmed but in reality not quite. Terminal screws are larger than oem and would not fit. Used old screws in lieu of new screws

    • Works on high compression motor
This was a replacement for a 50 hp DRZ400 with high compression 94mm piston and high lift cams. The cams I’m running have no decompression mechanism to aid starting. A pb 7ah battery wouldn’t turn it over. This lithium battery does. A few turns cold and less than 2 to get going warmed up. To the reviews with comments that it’s dead, did you try the restart button? This battery will act dead and not accept a charge if it gets low and you don’t activate restart feature. I got 3 years out of the first one and about time to replace. On a stock drz the cheap pb batteries are fine, but the weight reduction alone up high on the subframe is worth the price difference to me. ... show more

It was delivered with zero charge!! Since I didn’t own a lithium charger, I had to buy one of those as well a week after receiving the battery, I’m sure I’ll be happy over time, but initially not so much.

    • Perfect fit for DRZ400 E/S/SM
This is my first lithium battery. It's insane how light it is. I went to 6 different local shops looking for a replacement DRZ 400 battery (7B-BS). Most batteries were too thick for the stock battery box. I did not want to modify the battery box so I needed a direct replacement. This battery isn't that much more expensive than a GOOD quality lead-acid battery and is way cheaper than other lithium-ion batteries. The jump start feature is very innovative. I've never used it but it's some good piece of mind that I won't be stranded with a dead battery. Compared to the stock battery, the bike fires up much stronger than before. Before this battery, the bike would take 3-4 cycles before it would finally light. Now it takes 1-2 cycles on a cold bike. With the bike warmed up, it only takes one cycle. Overall, I'm insanely pleased with the battery. About the only odd thing is the bolts that come with the battery are a little thicker than my stock wires. I could drill the holes out bigger but I just used my old nut/bolt from the previous battery. It works just fine. ... show more
