  • Well built with minimal quirks and lowers motherboard tempatures by 3 Celsius.
The good: This product actually has some weight to it and appears to be very well made. It consists of a sturdy Aluminum Frame to support the interior fans while having what I believe to be ABS Plastic on the outer edge to avoid metal to motherboard contact. (Note the PCIe piece is plastic) The RGB Feature is quite nice and allows one to match their current RGB inside their Computer Case. The Triple fans sound very quiet at 30% running speed. I had to open my Case to hear them. Tempatures on my motherboard decreased by 3 Celsius. Didn’t use it to cool my graphics card directly but it did lower my Vertical mounted GTX 1080 Triple Fan OC at idle by 4 Celsius. The Bad: As much as I tried I could not get the ARGB to sync with my Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X case. I had to use the remote that came with the fans. The remote is lack luster. It’s a cheaply made plastic remote that feels like I could snap it between two fingers. The PCIe could have been made to fill a whole 1x16 Slot and have it able to lock in place for added support. When changing the RGB to white it appears there is some electrode interference as some of the color LEDs lit up but slowly faded away. (Worries me about product longevity) The Sata Cable and the Fan Cable for this were just black cables with no sleeves. And the location of where the cables come out at seems to have been a bad spot to put them as the cables are in plain view. Takes up about the same room as a full size desktop Graphics Card.(This was okay for me but may be a deal breaker for others) Changes I would make if I was the Manufacturer: I would add alternative power locations for the Sata and Fan cables. I would make the PCIe 1x16 in length and able to click into position for added support. I would also see if it was possible to power these fans using the PCIe Slot removing the need for the Sata Cable. (Still allow a fan cable to plug into the motherboard.) I would get rid of the remote entirely and have a Button much like that of the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Case to change the color settings.(Or using the PCI connection create a driver and software to be able to do this) I would make it so the PCIe Support has screws to hold it in place so it could be removed if people wanted to mount it vertically. The PCIe Support would be attached by a Male Sata to an onboard Female Sata for easy removal. While the Fan Cable would be able to be placed in two different locations with a Switch for Which one you want the signal to travel. Overall: I probably want too much out of this. My expectations were pretty low to start with but seeing that this does have some design flaws I can’t help but see a better version of it in my head. It does cool the inside of my case more and provides more cooling for my VRM’s and Motherboard Components. It does it’s job. Though I don’t think that is truly enough for a PC enthusiast like myself. Hope they come out with a second version that has some of these upgrades. 4/5 Stars. ... show more

Not sure how much it helped with cooling but the rgb went well with my setup. 2 years in one of the fans started making a loud noise like its going out and when i tap it a couple times it fixes it lol

  • Great Board and Easy Install - Just "Pops" in - brings temps down about 25%
Got this for our customer that was having problems keeping his overclocked 3090 board running without being throttled while he was "playing" games. I highlighted playing because this fellow takes his games very seriously and enters all the contests or meets (whichever is correct) and from what he says has won quite a few. We didn't build this unit but somehow he got it from Dell as a gratuity. Its is the latest Dell R12 and the way it is setup you can only have 1 - 3090 due to space issues. Dell, like most of the other consumer assemblers, tries to use the smallest case, motherboard, etc. to maximize their profits. So there is little room for any kind of cooling, however the CPU does have liquid cooling and we recommended the card should have the same. Anyway this cooler fit in between the two slots left because the connector you see coming down is merely a piece of metal and it does not need to connect to the MB by using a PCie slot. It has its own 3 & 4 pin connectors as well as a SATA for power. His temps were in the ±90°C and he felt the GPU was being throttled at those temps. We put the fan card in and had him start using the unit and while the temps only hit the high 60s and low 70s. I offered to build a unit for him for cost but being still in college he needs every penny. Basically we solved his problem for less than $50.00 and 20 minutes time. If you have any problems with heat, or you just want to treat your unit, this board will get you there quickly and economically. It takes two slots and ideally it should go into a PCie slot, but as I said above they don't have to be on the MB slots - just need the ability to fasten it in. It is built solid and not just 3 fans screwed together. ... show more

  • Recommended for 30 series FE
Lol lot of mixed reviews , I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled to write this to help others . Could not get the 3 pin and 4 pin to work with my motherboard however I have a asrock motherboard and it’s not mentioned in the description so I’m not going to hold it against them . I ended up using the SATA power and manually setting it to high on the controller Fit ok in my nzxt h500i case Honestly wasn’t expecting much from this .. like at all after reading the reviews ... HOWEVER after gaming for a couple hrs I can conclude that I dropped the temp on my gpu consistently between 7-12 C which I would have to credit the design of the 3080 FE considering the the design of it and exposed fins really promoting dissipating heat upwards through the fins . I don’t see this helping too much with a regular cooler design but I could be wrong I think the 7-12 degrees C is enough for me not to send it back and be completely happy with my purchase also I want to note that once I set the settings I wanted , and shut down the computer I did not have to fiddle with the remote again which was a huge plus , I only worry about it getting messed up with my other led controllers with RF but that’s how it is so even then I can’t complain too much . I end with saying that if you have a 30 series founders edition , this is worth trying out ... show more
