I just received two 25 count packs of 8/0 Heavy Octopus Short Shank Offset Circle Hook on the first day of the expected delivery window. Yeah! I needed these today too! I haven't yet had the chance to actually put these to the ultimate test in the field, but after careful examination of this product under high magnification I must say I am very impressed with the quality build and slick surface finish, and overall appearance of these hooks. They are flawlessly constructed and finished as advertised and I am extremely pleased to have found an excellent product backed by people who know their product well. I've already decided to get some of these same hooks in 10/0 for my next project. Thank you Angler's Grotto!!! Oh yeah, as usual for this forgetful ole man, I almost forgot to mention what most consider to be of utmost importance- These hooks have perfectly formed points and are sharp as razors! Beware! Added 10-5-2021 - In the time since writing the review above about the 8/0 circle hooks, I've purchased some of these same style hooks from Angler's Grotto in 1/0 and 10/0 sizes. The quality of these hooks appears to be the same, which is excellent. The 1/0 looks to me like the perfect little hook to use when making up some homemade hair rigs to use for carp fishing. The 10/0 are the biggest hooks I've ever bought and they look perfect for holding live baitfish to a trotline for catfishing. Woo Hoo! I don't know about you but I'm gonna go fishing! Added 10-27-2021 - I've now been using Angler's Grotto 10/0 hooks on my trotlines at Mark Twain Lake, and the hooks have performed great as you can see in the pics above of me holding a few of the catfish I've caught since I began this new fishing adventure of running trotlines from a kayak. These are extra strong hooks. I use 8/0 and 9/0 for grouper fishing. The black chrome is extra heavy. The eyes are closed tight and with no sharp edges around the end of the wire that could scrape or cut your leader in a big fish fight. Other Chinese makers are less quality conscious about those wire ends at the eye, and I have had to put epoxy with a needle to that area to ensure they would not cut the line. Hooks are razor sharp and heavy. Which you need for those big heavy fish. We had a 42 lb Flathead get tangled in the anchor line. This hook held, didn’t bend or break ! Awesome hooks will purchase again and again!

most octopus hooks in the shops near me only come in packs of 3 I can get 25 of these for like $2 more. Feel solid and well built. Have been using this brands other hooks (Mosquito and EWG). So far no complaints!
