Our mattress is pretty tall but the several adjustable heights of the bassinet are able to accommodate that. The fabric shelf on bottom is nice to store extra sheets in case of middle of the night sheet change during the newborn days. Have loved that it has worked so well for 7 months now as baby continues to grow, it can accommodate from newborn to nearly 20 pounds! I bought this near by bassinet because I knew I was going to have a c section and I wanted to just make it easier for me. First of all I want to say how easy it was to assemble. The space alone fits perfectly well next to my bed and the money is definitely worth it !

The media could not be loaded. We were on the quick hunt for a bassinet when the one we had previously been using was recalled for unsafe levels of lead! We quickly trashed our old bassinet, and purchased this one! The set up is so easy! Pieces pop in and legs fold right out! It is compact, and easy to maneuver and adjust the height as well! The mattress is thick, but firm! The mattress on our previous bassinet was so thin and indented so easily! I am recommending this bassinet for my sister who is due to have a baby as well! I spent hours upon hours trying to find one that was sturdy enough. Most bassinets are poorly designed and usually end up making baby go against the sides because they tilt so much. This bassinet doesn’t do that. It lays perfectly flat. I love that it can be on an incline too. At the hospital they always have baby sleeping on an incline and then send us home expecting baby to be comfortable on flat surface which isn’t so great if baby has reflux. This is the only bassinet I’ve seen that allows this. I also really like the drop down part. It makes it so much easier to access baby. Baby has been sleeping in it for almost a month now so I can confidently say this was a good buy. It’s easy to move around from room to room which is a bonus because we like to bring it to the living room in the day time. The underneath storage is a great place to put diapers, wipes, extra clothes, etc. A lot of other reviews mention the mattress being super hard, which it is, but my little one doesn’t seem to mind it too much especially when he’s swaddled. I’m so glad we found this one because all of the competitors didn’t meet all of our standards. The media could not be loaded. We love this bassinet because it has 4 wheel, it has a bottom storage and it opens on one side and it can be reclined to multiple heights. We had a different bassinet with 2 wheel only and we realized that we need to move the bassinet all the time from one room to another so we bought this one. The only downside is the wheel quality- after few weeks of usage they are not smooth enough and don't glide well, especially when baby gains weight. Also , it's impossible to easily open the wheel to clean them - there is hair caught in the wheel and it's impossible to clean. Loss of hair is known symptom in Post pregnancy so it needs to be taken under consideration. However, without the baby inside it, the wheel are working better - still not gliding smoothly but when the baby is inside it's much worse, and the wheels barely turn. Also, in order to lock the wheel you need to lock all 4 of them separately - this should be improved so you can lock and unlock with single button. It was easy to assemble. ... show more

Perfect for my 15 pound, 15 year old Sheldon who has many health issues. I wrapped the mattress with a waterproof mattress pad. I put his day bed in so he's familiar with his scent and to get him accustom to his new night bed asap. The mattress that comes with this unit would be comfortable by itself. Yes he drinks from the Quick Check mug, it doesn't tip over and it's tall enough not to step in. I also attached a mosquito net, not pictured, peace of mind so I can sleep better knowing he won't be tempted to jump out. I strongly recommend this bassinet for small dogs. Sturdy and light so it can be moved easily. Roomy and the right depth. I have no regrets and wish I bought this sooner. ... show more
