i bought this drawer for my custom point-of-sale setup at my bar. i paired the cash drawer with an inexpensive windows 8 pc and touchscreen monitor from dell, and also an epson tm-20ii thermal receipt printer. i wanted something that was simple to set up and maintain, but not lightweight and prone to taking a beating and retiring early. i think this drawer is exactly what i was looking for! first, unit construction. this thing is built heavy. it weighs around 20 pounds! the rubber feet on the bottom keep it from moving around on the bartop when you shove the drawer shut or pop it open. the bill slots are a bit wider than regular, which is superb because it keeps the bills from folding up on the sides when the slot is getting full. the removable till provides access to two check slots in the front of the brushed steel drawer. the phone jack is recessed into the bottom of the drawer towards the back, and allows for flush installation anywhere you want to install your pos. as for operation, i guess i must be used to an old, warn out drawer. this thing opens with a bit of a bang, and the drawer pops right out quickly. the spring-tensioned bill holders are stiff, but they flip up without much effort. your bills won't be sliding around underneath those holders, i assure you. there are plenty of trays for coins, keys, or whatever you keep in the drawer. also, the key lock is very sturdy. i know i don't have to worry about the lock failing and keeping me out of the drawer. overall, i'm quite satisfied with this purchase. it's heavy-duty enough that you can set the computer and monitor on top of it without them being wobbly, and it's a very sharp-looking addition to our new pos system. if you want to mount this under a countertop though, make sure to purchase the version with the mounting brackets ! you can order the mounting brackets separately, but you have to go directly to the seller, as they're not offered separately on amazon. if you buy this drawer, you won't be disappointed! ... show more

Was concerned with the price, but no need to worry. Nicely built and slides real smooooth! Am using for a car wash in the tunnel, hope she lasts. Think it will be all right for our needs, my guys are rough and I think it will handle the abuse.
