Description

DETAILS I come from Vordonia on the outskirts of Sparta, the child of ancient Athenian olive trees in the mountainous Spartan rock. I was there when King Leonidas scaled the face of Mount Taygetos: I have seen the birth of great civilizations. My name means "The Perfect Moment", and I represent the resilient spirit of the people. I am a 100% USDA Organic certified product. FLAVOR Elegant and complex. I boast a rich, grassy nose with hints of fresh herbs, and a round, buttery, peppery finish. I bring out the flavors of vegetables and salads and am amazing when braising meats and hearty dishes. TERROIR The unique Athenoelia olive trees growing on one of the tallest and historic mountains in Greece produce a flavor like no other. These trees are beautiful and truly ancient, with some over a 1000 years old. They grow in the hillside rocks and must be harvested carefully by hand. Being among such majestic trees with their gnarled trunks and bountiful branches was something that touched our soul. THE SOURCE & HISTORY OF KERÓS Olive trees in Vordonia are among the oldest in the world, dating centuries and even millenia. Gianni's family has lived in this quaint village on the outskirts of Sparta on Mount Taygetos for many generations. They harvest an ancient Athenian varietal in the arid rock, which creates truly elegant flavors and promotes good health. The oil from this tiny village is renowned by the locals. • Fantastic!
Size: 101.4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Wonderful EVOO - soft and buttery with no bitter aftertaste or “bite.” Not as flavorful as the Sicilian EVOO, but you can’t have everything. Also, big kudos to the distributor for a great double-insulated packing job. Bravo!!!

  • Very different very good
Size: 33.8oz (1L) Tin

I assume oil is good. The shipping box was like Fort Knox. I use oil with cayenne pepper in quart jar to marinate and use

  • Delicious and very fresh
Size: 101.4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Would have given a 5 ⭐ however this and the previous can that was delivered was smashed by the delivery person and one leaked all over and because it's such a large quantity I didn't have a large enough container to transfer it to. Amazon drivers need to be more careful.

A true olive oil. Best on Amazon for the price & quality I tried many nothing taste as good & fresh as this one. I highly recommend it. It is definitely under-rated

  • A FLAVOR LIKE NO OTHER
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I luv shopping online for ORGANIC EVOO that I cannot buy locally. This particular USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC EVOO is a product of Greece. It's cold-pressed, EARLY HARVEST & high in phenols. Not only does it provide a wide range of health benefits, it's a multi-tasker in the kitchen. We use it to cook, saute, bake, roast, braise, in salad dressings & to drizzle over food as a finishing touch. The flavor & aroma is buttery/peppery. Occasionally, I'll take a tablespoon 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It helps with G.I. issues. ... show more
