Received my bike this afternoon and just came back from my first 15 mile ride on an ebike. All I can say is that was really great and even though the Amkyet gb26 turned to be larger and heavier than I expected it is a wonderful product. The assembly instructions leave a bit to be desired but the procedure is not all that complicated. The bike has more than amble power and torgue to get you where you want to go safely and with great ease. I have not used it as a mountain bike so the concern re: breaks may be a real one but in the city and on general bike paths the mechanical breaks are more than adequate. The 5 PAS options take you from an effortless 12 mph to 28-30 with minimal increase in effort. What an amazing Electric bike. it really moves well, even when pedaling. It is very sturdy, doesn't feel like its going to fall apart like some others we tried. it has a great battery and with quite a few charges in the past month or so,no problems at all. The green color looks really nice, with the contrast of the black, also the luggage rack comes in very handy. I will definitely recommend this bike to anyone that wants a decent electric bike. it would be nice if it had turn signals like some others, but that's not a deal breaker. ... show more

very much like this electric bike. had some challenge with assembly but was not too bad. it was not charged when i received it and it seemed to fully charge in about 2 to 3 hours. the manual says give it 2 to 9 hours. i road it a total of about 15 miles on day 1 in separate trips and had plenty of charge still left. i was very impressed with the ability of this bike to go up very rough terrain. i am near a logging road with very large course rock and steep grade and it was able to make it up under its own power. i am a novice to e bikes and so did not understand the modes of the battery from 1 to 4 and the bike does not come with an operation manual. so for the first few miles i had it in the default 1 mode and used the gears to shift and peddle up hills. once i figured out that Mode 2 through 4 gives the motor more power i was able to go up relatively steep hills 13%+ under the power of the battery alone. the bike is very well constructed and feel like it will be durable over time. i have not had it that long but overall i would recommend the bike and am considering a 2nd one to purchase for family to have two on hand for rides. very minor downside on couple things is it was missing two nuts for the screws of the kickstand which i can get anywhere. and there were no directions for how to put the fenders and brackets on . and the accessory back carry rack had the arms not really aligned well with the receiving holes which i think i can bend to align but haven't done that yet. other than that, the assembly was not too bad but suggest attention to a few things and as one that doesn't usually read the directions on these things, this was one time i read the entire manual and it was helpful to do that before beginning putting things together. just wish it had a quick start guide or something on the operations side of things. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The battery does not last more than 3-6 miles on level pavement with me pedaling. (As seen in video. 17 miles on odometer when taken off charger, died at 24 miles). You CANNOT get support!! I have sent numerous photos and video (as seen in this review). There is no one to talk to and the return shipping is more than the cost of the bike and they refuse to replace the battery. The bike issues started with the first ride. Seat was torn as well but can’t even get a new seat. I’ve never given a review before, but hopefully you won’t get scammed like I did. I own another bike that I keep at my farm and thought I could use this one in my neighborhood. Get a regular bike instead of this one because you will be pedaling when it dies. ... show more

    • Needs hydraulic brakes
The media could not be loaded. I love my bike. The only thing that can be improved on is the brakes. It came with cable brakes. Hydraulic brakes would have been a nice feature to have. I've already put 278 miles on it. It ride smoothly. It came 95% assembled and it came with tools to assemble it. Assembly was very easy. Great customer care too. My settings got changed and they helped me reset the bike back to the original settings. Did I mention I love riding my bike. I would love to have a back up battery but none are available right now. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Bought this bike recently and so far I'm very satisfied with it. Excellent price for the features, power and quality. The bike is a bit heavy and the assembly instructions were lacking but overall the bike is great. Bigger than i expected but fast and fun. The instructions were lacking but I figured it out. You may want to consider taking it to a bike shop to have them assemble it properly. Be advised, however, this bike is very heavy. Almost 80 pounds. It's a struggle to lift it up into the bed of my truck. Also, I had to pay over $200 to upgrade the undersized brakes. The brakes that come on it are not strong enough to provide stopping power for such a heavy bike. Otherwise, I'm loving it. I get a lot of jealous looks when I'm riding it. ... show more
