  • Great item
When you use this, make sure you water your grass first then put this on and then water real good again after you apply it to your lawn it takes a few days for it to work. You just need to keep it watered or your grass will burn out. I feel it’s a little bit overpriced for the amount that you receive, but the results are amazing in the end. ... show more

  • Revitalized my tomatoes
My tomatoes were struggling and I ran some pH strips tests on them and after waiting for results, decided to go in with some nitrogen fertilizer and it did the trick. Highly recommended. A little goes a LONG way.

  • Great to use on Southwest lawns.
Guess this is a good time to explain the use of this product and where I would not use it. So this is a ammonium Nitrogen at 21% so fairly high Nitrogen content. That's a pound on Nitrogen per 1000 sq ft. The other ingredient is Sulfur at 24% so 1.2 pounds per 1000 sq ft. When you look at fertilizers, they have a NPK %. N ( Nitrogen) P (Phosphate) and K (Potassium). Nitrogen is for plant growth. P and K is for root development, plant health, flowering and fruit development. I won't go into all the details but concentrate on this product. So from all the soil test I've seen in the southwest, we have sand, clay and loom. The test also shows the PH level and nutrient levels. PH is usually around 7.8-8, slightly alkaline. Ideal PH for grass and most plants is 6.5-7. Another common trend in the nutrient needs is Nitrogen. I've found the P and K to be mixed, depending on town. When we have alkaline soils, we can never change the PH forever and that's a shame because plants/grass take up nutrients much better in neutral soils. But the addition of Sulfur will lower the PH level allowing plants/grass to uptake more nutrients while the PH is lower. After 3-5 weeks the PH will return to it's natural level ( when soil is more acidic, lower than 6, it's easier to raise the PH with lime). So this product has a nice amount of sulfur to temporarily lower PH level and allow plants/grass to take in more nutrients. It also has ammonium for nitrogen. Fertilizers get nitrogen from ammonium or urea as the majority of ingredient for nitrogen. Urea is used more but I like ammonium better. So with all said, I love this product for lawns in the southwest that will greatly benefit from the nitrogen and sulfur. That being said, sulfur is expensive so having a bag of 24% sulfur and 21% nitrogen to treat 1000 sq ft at this cost is good. I want my lawn looking it's best and I'll be using this product a couple times a season. The other times I fertilize I'll use a NPK product without the sulfur for cost. I just did my first application as my Bermuda grass is mostly out of dormancy and ready to thrive. It's best to wait till 80-90% of grass is green and growing before hitting it with a high nitrogen fertilizer. As for use with my Blueberry bush, even though it will help lower the PH as Blueberries and other plants like an acid soil, I will instead use an acidifier to lower PH and use a separate fertilizer providing the right combination of NPK to match the needs of the plant for that given time. 21% nitrogen is high and if too much is used, burning of the plant can result and too little may not get the PH to ideal levels, I'm very close to having my grass fully green and growing crazy, this ammonium sulfate will get it there quickly as temps are now mid 80's. I have a few products from the Grow Co and love them all. Great product at a good price. ... show more
