Description

This three-level 6-Hole Birdhouse with a Copper Roof is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The access openings are 1.5"W x 1.75" with a landing porch outside. This birdhouse is made top-of-the-line construction and materials. Designed by a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Amish master craftsman. Each birdhouse uses 3/8" pine and poplar which is given a generous coat of weather- resistant ZAR white Rain Stain on the outer slats and perches. The standing seam copper roof (16-gauge) is topped with a decorative lathe turned finial. 24" high x 12" diameter. 4" x 4" Post mount bracket included. Roof lifts off with compartments for easy cleaning.

So, two schools of thought: clean the old nests out so new birds can build their own, or leave the nests so others can reuse them. If you are the latter, this is a perfect and beautiful solution for you. The birdhouse is big and solidly constructed. It was shipped rapidly. much faster than promised and packaged to avoid problems during shipping. It was very easy to install on the 4 x4 already in place. It looks beautiful in our garden and at least one bird has started building its nest in the house.

    • Nice but misleading information
Beautiful birdhouse but this 6 compartment house doesn’t open to clean so the information is very misleading. Three compartments are being occupied now. We’ll see if they come back next year since I can’t clean it.

    • Nice condo for your birds.
This is a large, well-crafted birdhouse. It was carefully packed and arrived on-time with no damage. The copper roof fits perfectly. Clean out will be easy at the end of the season. It mounts on a 4"x4"x8' (or10'). If you use a white vinyl sleeve over the post it will match nicely and require no maintenance. Highly recommend this product! ... show more

    • Beautiful, but will need copper sealer if you want roof to stay copper color
Looks as good as picture. BUT, if you want the copper roof to stay copper color (will turn black within 2 weeks), you will need to buy third party copper sealer to stop it from changing color
