This edger is great for creating edging in my yard. It helps to have moist soil or you may end up bending the blade. I found it simple to use once I got the hang of it. Someone recommended rocking it back and forth and that helped a lot. The blade appears to be sturdy and well made. I rinse it off after use and there has not been signs of rusting. When I first saw this product, I really didn't think it would be worth the purchase. But I bought it anyway as I had landscape borders I needed to put in. This tool worked so well. I am over 60 and I can't do as much as I use to but this tool made the process so simple. Just put it in the ground, step on the top of the blade as designed and rock it back and forth. It worked so well that I didn't tire out like I did using a shovel. The shovel required so much digging and I always needed to find more dirt to finish the project. I used this to cut a small trench between my flowerbed and glass before installing a plastic flower edge / boarder. I was also able to use it to make a circle around my front yard trees. It was very helpful. I also used it to start a hole a i had to dig (used it to save the sod and to measure the hole / cut a perfect square.
