I began putting this together and on the very 1st step, unknowingly, I had one of the pieces backwards and the holes didn't line up. After several attempts, I messaged Tao and was very surprised from the very quick response. In the text they took full responsibility for any defects and their questions to me showed they were concerned about the issue. "We take full responsibility for any product quality issues, so please be rest assured that we will take up your issue and will not hold you responsible for any loss." They asked if there were any other issues with the bed and I said, "I don't know because I didn't get past the 1st step." They politely ask me "would you check on the other parts of this bed frame? We would like to solve problems together." I went back to continue the process and noticed how I had them placed on the wall that I may have had it backwards. I started over and everything lined up and the assembly went smooth according to the instructions. This bed is just as nice in person as it is online. Not only does it look great, but it feels good and it's a very solid bed. I was really impressed with the details of how they had bolts in places to really make this very, very sturdy. Nice looking, very well made bed. Did not take long to put together. It's pretty low so if you like a higher bed I would recommend buying a 4 or 5 inch box spring especially if you have a thick mattress

Read multiple reviews saying the holes for screws didn't line up. I did have the same problem while attaching the sides of the headboard to the headboard itself, but made it work. I still gave this item four stars, because despite this problem the rest of the build was easy and straight forward. The bed itself is beautiful and came in perfect condition. No scratches in the velvet or anything. The bed is very sturdy once everything is put together and your mattress is in the frame. My 2 and 6 year old were jumping all over the bed as soon as the mattress was in the frame and the frame didn't move at all. I have a 14" mattress and it fits perfect. You can see about 1 inch of the smooth base before the tufted part starts. I saw reviews complaining that the bed was much shorter than they thought, but it does measure the 51" height claimed in the images. Just be sure to measure 51", so you know how tall the headboard will be in your room. I love it and would buy again! ... show more

I really think this is a lovely bed!!! Very sturdy despite how it may appear when it arrives in the box. I used a box Spring with my bed so it rises above the footboard. It has lots of "wow factor! " very soft material. Highly recommend! Only wish headboard was higher.

There are lots a reviews and pictures on the look, quality and the ease of putting the bed together. I will say that I am pleased with the bed, no complaints. However, I wanted to review the customer service. I ordered the bed and 2 days later it was on here for $50 cheaper. I reached out to the seller and asked if they could refund me because within only 2 days the bed was less. The response time was fast and they agreed that once I received the bed if I could let them know that I had received the bed with no issues, yes they would issue me a refund. They refunded the $50 with no issue once I confirmed that I had received the bed. Now the bed review. Those that say the bed sits low and the pictures are deceiving, the headboard isn’t as grand as the pictures show. The pictures are NOT deceiving, they give you the measurements. What you see is probably a standard 10” mattress and they don’t use a box spring. The headboard is 51.5”, so not even four and half feet people. So by adding a box spring or even a thicker mattress, you will sit up higher but that will also cover more of the headboard and potentially sit higher than the footboard. So pick and choose your battle 😁, do you want the bed/mattress to sit higher or do you want the appearance of a grandiose headboard. I chose to sit/sleep higher, my mattress is 14” and I added 9” box springs. I am still able to see enough of the headboard to my liking, besides once you add all of the pillows who really sees the headboard anyway😂. My daughter and boyfriend assembled the bed while I was at work, and they did run into a few issues. However the bed is beautiful in my room, just the perfect touch to my Queen’s Quarters (no longer called the Master Bedroom). I saw some reviews saying the bed was flimsy, well I can’t move the bed not even and inch. So that says to me that it is not flimsy. If I had to do it all again? The instructions were mostly clear, except for a couple of steps where we had to figure it out on our own. Still, we are very pleased. My daughter loves her new bed.
