I was skeptical to pick a bent grab bar at first but decided to give it a shot to try. It doesn’t seem to fit too well in my small shower so I put it in the shower with a bathtub. The wife and I are seniors who are dealing with age-related decreasing senses of balance and stability. Gone are the days when I could bound down flights of stairs with little concern for a misstep. These days, I invariably reach for the security of a hand rail! And that also goes for getting in and out of the shower. We have a shower pan where our tub used to exist at home, so the step to enter is only a few inches - not a problem. But we also have a mobile home in Northern Michigan, that has a ‘garden tub’ in the bathroom. This tub is both taller and wider than the tubs that we grew up with, and we find that getting in and out of it is more of a challenge these days. That was the purpose behind our acquisition of this grab bar. I was able to mount it on the wall with the included hardware. It feels strong and secure, and gives confidence as we get in and out of the tub, especially when exiting with wet feet. This is a purchase that could legitimately be a lifesaver! ... show more
