This is a great, if you are harnessing the AI features for this camera, you will have a fun time keeping any area you are watching secure. Easy to setup, long time to master. There are so many things you can do with this it will take you a while to get a grasp of it all. You WILL need some technical knowledge to get this working, but, if you are willing to go big on a purchase like this, you either already know how to do this stuff, or you were recommended to this by someone, who knows how to do this stuff. Things I love: Great AI features Excellent mounting options Easy to use software Many ways of operation Things I loved less: This is NOT cheap, and most of it is due to features If you need something like this, and either you know you need it or have been recommended to get this, you will NOT be disappointed. A lot of the features the camera is claiming is actually dependent on the NVR used. The camera itself doesn't do it them natively, as far as I can tell. With a third party NVR like ZoneMinder it's a camera with a special lens layout. The camera has all the standard security camera features you'd expect, like image and stream controls. The image output is key: By default it spits out a huge circular image which is very difficult to look at. It can be changed 4 separate quadrant images which is similar to 4 separate camera feeds. My favorite was the lateral panorama which is termed Equirectangular mapping, use frequently for video game skyboxes. In that mode it is the most easily digestible by human eyes. I've included a [tiny] image. The mounting and wire is designed so the wire is fed through whatever it is being mounted to, as in straight up or down and not through any side. Even though it IS a 360 degree camera, there is a designated Top. Mounting orientation matters when you've got particular image modes enabled. ... show more

    • Amazing camera that does just about everything!
I own a business and like every business owner I'm concerned with keeping the place secure. I actually have a decent group of employees that I don't worry about and that's good. Even so, I like to keep an eye on the place during my frequent travels. I'm a big fan of Amcrest products and have at least a dozen of their cameras between home and work. All of their products are good but this camera is downright amazing. This camera does so much and does it so well I don't even know where to start. How about video quality--it's off the charts. 12MP at 25fps is just incredible. Every detail is visible which is a good thing for a security camera. You've got 360 degree panoramic viewing along with 16x digital zoom. The night vision is excellent--my business is never 'pitch dark' but in the event of something out of the ordinary the 33 foot night vision distance has you covered. There's a built in microphone and speaker just in case you need to hear what's going on or if you want to yell at someone from a distance. It was simple to install and equally easy to configure. Pretty much every product these days is claiming to be AI powered but this is the real deal--it provides so many incredible options such as human and vehicle filtering and zone detection. You can set each zone individually with separate sensitivity and threshold criteria. Hopefully, I'll never *need* to have the camera running at 14 degrees F or 112 F but should it become necessary it'll keep working. So many different options for viewing and recording footage. You can view recorded footage as well as live video from a PC/Mac or the Amcrest Cloud smartphone app. There's also a Chrome based WebUI interface. The app can also send you push alerts which is nice when you're out of town. You can also store footage locally with a MicroSD card, to an FTP server, onto a local computer or to an Amcrest network video recorder (NVR). Longer term storage plans are very reasonable but you can access live cloud viewing and 4 hours of recording free of charge. There's so many different use cases for this camera. I don't need cool features like heat map and people counting but it definitely adds to the versatility. This camera might be 'overkill' for some applications but if you want the cutting edge of security camera technology here it is. Very highly recommended. ... show more

    • Professional fisheye panoramic camera with a lot of features
This is not an ordinary camera so read the reviews and specifications first before your purchase. This is a professional fisheye 360° panoramic POE camera. Mounting and setup was easy following the included guide. Camera quality is superb with the 12MB lens and everything looks crisp and clear. Night vision is excellent even in pitch dark. You can configure zones with different criteria. As a fisheye 360° panoramic camera, it shows everything in a panoramic view but the view can be divided into 4 zones as if you are viewing/recording using 4 cameras. It has so many other options like human and vehicle filtering, count of entry and exit, heat map, etc. The price is on the higher side but the camera quality and overall features make it well worth. ... show more

This camera is fantastic for any area that you need full coverage on. I am using it in my single-car carport, and there are basically no blind spots for this camera which is awesome. I had traditional cameras before but there were so many blind spots even with 3-4 cameras due to the perspective. I am using it with Blue Iris and am not using their app as I don't want to expose the camera directly to the internet for security reasons. Setup was quite easy using the IP interface (type the camera's local IP address into a browser to access it). Even though I'm not using their app, there are a ton of settings including some AI features that can be accessed from the IP interface. I find fisheye cameras to be a bit nauseating from the default perspective, so I appreciate that it can be set up with custom viewing options that break it up a bit. The camera itself is surprisingly small - well the base is larger than a standard dome camera, but the camera dome is very small. It makes it feel less fragile. It seems sturdy and well made overall. The picture is extremely clear, which when you consider the size of the image area is very impressive. This is not a cheap camera by any means, but I do think you get what you pay for. ... show more
