This is my second Ambition machine. Started with a Soldier then purchased some big names to see what the hype was about.. i must say from my 3 years of professional experience, i could have saved 2 grand! These machines work just as good for daily drivers IN THE RIGHT HANDS.. it’s the Painter NOT the Paint brush.. & it took me a while to realize this. So let me save you some money, these machines are being manufactured for less than 1/10th the price.. even if it only lasted me 3 months, it pays for itself after 1 session lol. The “Torped” was slimmer than i expected upon inspection, coupled with a short Kuark RCA battery by Ambition its about the same size as my Flux and Power wand.. i love that i can fully take it apart in order to PROPERLY sanitize.. which unfortunately is not talked about enough in this industry at the moment🤷🏻♂️. The 5.0 cam is a bit punchy for my taste but blasts in lines. The 4.0 pre installed cam runs BEAUTIFULLY and shades like butter, but i found the 4.5 cam to be my personal favorite.. i can lay down lines, stipple with zero snags & pack any skin with ease. For $69 BUY THIS MACHINE..will it last forever? NO.. but no machine will, and i have less issues with these than i have had with big name brands which says a lot.. Enjoy the aluminum Gold finish, Hollow cup motor with easy interchangeable stroke design, CLICK GRIP, Ease of cleansing, Size & Power, Even reminds me of Cheyenne style grips. If you’re not on the “brand bandwagon” & have knowledge of tattooing don’t be scared to give the Torped a go! ~~4.5mm cam ~~ Pros ** Has great hand feel , comfortable to use , puts blacks in effective , and can do some solid linework , fine and thick … Cons ** not the best at shading , you really have to slow down a bit to get the proper saturation with such powerful machine ,,, 5mm cam is way too much .

The media could not be loaded. This machine is amazing for the price take advantage while you can you get a machine with quality but having to come out of pocket 800$ just as good as those other machines I’d not better been using this for a year and a half and no complaints durable and well built 😏

I absolutely love the design of this unit! I was extremely excited to receive it, and begin work on some detailed shading with the lower stroke cam. After receiving the unit and unboxing the package, which is done very well by ambition, to test the unit, I plugged it in to my Bronc power supply and started it up. I noticed a very high pitch wine coming from the unit before the motor actually engaged and took a few seconds to reach the machines “top speed” as it were. It behaved very much like revving up a car engine. Changed out to a battery power supply to verify that was not the issue and the Torped behaved the same. Fully engaged there seemed to be no issue with its performance but I do not have another unit to compare cycles per second. However, upon every start and stop, it produces the high-pitched wine I mentioned and takes time to reach it maximum cycles per second. Does this affect the machines capability while in use is my main question. One can only ascertain that there is an issue with my particular motor. The ambition Shura that I have behaves in a very different manner, and is quite possibly my favorite machine for lining! Just be prepared to except that occasionally with the scope of all of the motors and equipment that they sell, there may be a unit that does not operate as one thinks it should. Mine just happens to be one of those. Hopefully ambition takes note. ... show more

Amazing machine... I've been tattoing for 15+ years, and I'm very pleased with were machines are going. This comes from a guy who swore he would never lay down his coil machines. Once I got the ambition in my hands, it was over from there. Great lightweight machine, fits in my hand with the battery feeling supported and not hanging over the back side of my hand. Machine feels very balanced in many ways... the plunger seems to be counter weighted which makes for a nice smooth quite machine, no vibrations. It also feels balanced in your hand. Some of these new pen style machines can be a bit long and tend to put the heavy battery hanging over your hand. When working in certain positions can be awkward, however with the ambition torped it's extremely balance, the battery is extremely light weight (the bigger battery of the two they offered) and it just wants to rest in your hand. The cases they come in are extremely nice also, I made the mistake of ordering my machine and battery separate, so i didn't get the case that they both come in together, however i did get extremely nice cases for both the battery and the pen individually. So my next purchase with be another ambition torped with 2 batterys in hopes that it comes in a large case together. Overall I'm super impressed with this machine and it's capabilities with 4.0-4.5-5.0mm stroke. Can't fully speak on battery life yet, but lasted 5 hrs with no problem and had life left for sure. ... show more

The machine it self is great it’s a power liner forsure. The company not so thorough , I’ve ordered 2 so far , the first machine came and the screw for the cams was stripped so I was unable to replace the cams , I messaged the company and the sent me a whole new motor , so customer service is pretty good. But I ordered a 2nd machine and they sent me all the wrong cams for it . Seems like they can’t get one to me that’s perfect ready to use out of the box . ... show more
