I'm running it with a wired critical power supply (having it connected to a wire vs a wireless battery makes it SO light) and have been using it daily for about a month now. So far ive had zero complaints. The healed tattoos (month long heal) that I've seen have been perfect too. Why spend $1k on an American made machine that has the same power as this baby? This is my second Ambition machine. Started with a Soldier then purchased some big names to see what the hype was about.. i must say from my 3 years of professional experience, i could have saved 2 grand! These machines work just as good for daily drivers IN THE RIGHT HANDS.. it’s the Painter NOT the Paint brush.. & it took me a while to realize this. So let me save you some money, these machines are being manufactured for less than 1/10th the price.. even if it only lasted me 3 months, it pays for itself after 1 session lol. The “Torped” was slimmer than i expected upon inspection, coupled with a short Kuark RCA battery by Ambition its about the same size as my Flux and Power wand.. i love that i can fully take it apart in order to PROPERLY sanitize.. which unfortunately is not talked about enough in this industry at the moment🤷🏻♂️. The 5.0 cam is a bit punchy for my taste but blasts in lines. The 4.0 pre installed cam runs BEAUTIFULLY and shades like butter, but i found the 4.5 cam to be my personal favorite.. i can lay down lines, stipple with zero snags & pack any skin with ease. For $69 BUY THIS MACHINE..will it last forever? NO.. but no machine will, and i have less issues with these than i have had with big name brands which says a lot.. Enjoy the aluminum Gold finish, Hollow cup motor with easy interchangeable stroke design, CLICK GRIP, Ease of cleansing, Size & Power, Even reminds me of Cheyenne style grips. If you’re not on the “brand bandwagon” & have knowledge of tattooing don’t be scared to give the Torped a go! ~~4.5mm cam ~~ Pros ** Has great hand feel , comfortable to use , puts blacks in effective , and can do some solid linework , fine and thick … Cons ** not the best at shading , you really have to slow down a bit to get the proper saturation with such powerful machine ,,, 5mm cam is way too much .

Great for them thick lines. Definitely recommend to be an experienced artist for smaller grouping needles. Since a 1211RS goes in so smooth. Great with stipple shading. Cautious with saturation shading since it hits like a jack hammer. Could cause damage to the skin, if not experienced.

I just got home, opened this up, and it’s clearly not together correctly. Upon further inspection, it appears that it is cross threaded or something and won’t go together. It also already had fingerprints on it when I unzipped the case. I reached out to have a replacement sent, but was told that I can request a refund, which could take up to 30 days. Support said that a replacement can’t be processed on this item and gave no reason why. It’s not the end of the world, but it is definitely an inconvenience. I wanted to try this machine out, but that won’t happen now. I’m not going to order a second and hope that it arrives correctly. Maybe in a month when I get a refund, I’ll give it another shot. But with the lack of support and inconvenience, there are other things I would rather do with my time. It’s cheap enough that it isn’t an issue to wait on a refund, but very inconvenient. Good luck if you order one. I hope that it comes in working order. Otherwise, there’s no support coming. You’ll just be waiting up to 30 days for a refund. If you respect your time, I would recommend buying a better machine. Possibly one that comes correctly manufactured and in working condition with some support. ... show more

I got sent a machine where the Allen key screw came stripped out. So the Allen key just spins in the screw and can’t grab on. So I can’t change the stroke.

Amazing machine... I've been tattoing for 15+ years, and I'm very pleased with were machines are going. This comes from a guy who swore he would never lay down his coil machines. Once I got the ambition in my hands, it was over from there. Great lightweight machine, fits in my hand with the battery feeling supported and not hanging over the back side of my hand. Machine feels very balanced in many ways... the plunger seems to be counter weighted which makes for a nice smooth quite machine, no vibrations. It also feels balanced in your hand. Some of these new pen style machines can be a bit long and tend to put the heavy battery hanging over your hand. When working in certain positions can be awkward, however with the ambition torped it's extremely balance, the battery is extremely light weight (the bigger battery of the two they offered) and it just wants to rest in your hand. The cases they come in are extremely nice also, I made the mistake of ordering my machine and battery separate, so i didn't get the case that they both come in together, however i did get extremely nice cases for both the battery and the pen individually. So my next purchase with be another ambition torped with 2 batterys in hopes that it comes in a large case together. Overall I'm super impressed with this machine and it's capabilities with 4.0-4.5-5.0mm stroke. Can't fully speak on battery life yet, but lasted 5 hrs with no problem and had life left for sure. ... show more
