  • Installed easy and works with my existing third party extender.
Configuration: 1-Pack
I like this router and it was easy to install. I read a few reviews that said it would not work with other extenders. Well I just joined my tp-link extender with it and it's working great. You have to take some reviews with a grain of salt because if some can't figure it out they bash the product. I'm an old person and got mine going. I'm not fond of not having more control over 2.4 and 5g. Hopefully maybe they can change that with software updates. ... show more

  • Easy to setup
Configuration: 1-Pack
Routers are usually a pain to setup and you need a little bit of tech know how to set one up but not with this one. If you can download an app on your device and just plug everything in the device practically does everything for you and walks you through each step.

  • 4 stars. Great mesh system, weak on features.
Configuration: 1-Pack
This is a great mesh system if you want to replace power-line adapters. Yes, you can use these are power-line adapters. Buy 2 Mesh Routers, set one up and hook it up to your existing modem/router. You can set the 2nd one up in the app, and place it wherever. It will provide better speeds than any powerline adapter will ever hope of achieving. Pros - Small router - Easy to install - App is easy to understand for setting up the router(s) Cons - No features like changing channels. It automatically goes to HIGH channels. You CAN pair it with other routers, but know that your other routers will need to be on LOW channels to prevent interference. 4/5 for me. Would recommend if your carriers equipment is downstairs, and you have horrible signal to the carriers network equipment from upstairs. This will 100% solve the issue. ATT Fiber 1gig, I got the 550Mbps Eero Mesh Routers, and I get 350Mbps-400Mbps down, and 350Mbps-450Mbps up. The 550Mbps model was the only one with same day shipping, otherwise I would have gotten 1Gbps or 1.5Gbps to test. But the speeds are fantastic. The power-line adapters I was using (from downstairs to upstairs, so this is no surpise) was 25 down 25 up on the same network. These will 100% replace powerline adapters IF YOU GET 2 ROUTERS. This is my setup, Down stairs- Carrier equipment, modem/router to Switch to Eero Mesh Router 1 Upstairs: Eero Mesh Router 2 connected via Wifi to Eero Mesh Router 1 to TP Link Wifi 6 Router via Ether. So 4 routers in total. 350-400Mbps speeds, no interference since everything is on a different channel. 4/5 stars because I can't change the channels on the Eeros myself. I hate automatic as being the only option. Would recommend though. ... show more

  • Great dead spot solution
Configuration: 1-Pack
The Eeros were super easy to install and solved my dead spot problem. They will save me a lot of money. My ISP wanted to rent me 2 Eeros for $10/month plus a $10 shipping fee plus a return and restocking fee if I returned them. And, I would never own them. The one time cost to buy on Amazon, with the option to return them free if they didn't solve my problem, makes buying them an easy choice. As others reviewers said, you need 2. ... show more

  • perfect for surf internet
Configuration: 1-Pack
Used this for a second router/access point in my home and it made my signal stronger. Exact same one you get from surf (first one free, second one is rented). Would buy again and again. Didn't try Alexa integrations or call tech support.

  • Incredibly frustrating!
Configuration: 1-Pack
I'm getting so such of this thing that I'm about ready to sell it. So much of it is automated and entirely blocks user control. The app is very minimal, and that eliminates too many options. What sense does it make to pause 5 GHz and not be able to also pause 2.4 GHz? It makes NO sense! I generally max out at 4 devices connected to my home network (400 Mbps) at a time. Usually, only three of those devices are active at once. Eero has a clear bias, locking my iPhone in the 5 GHz band and VERY regularly switching my Android down to 2.4 GHz. I use my Android the most and it needs the bandwidth that it constantly gets denied. It NEVER allows my PS4 on the 5 GHz band, but the PS4 can use 5 GHz. It regularly bumps my Windows laptop down to 2.4 GHz, and it does the same to my work laptop (a Chromebook) DURING MY SHIFT WHEN I NEED 5 GHZ THE MOST! This causes interruptions during my workday, as told I use that depends on bandwidth stop working, choked out by the 2.4 GHz band. Can I manually change this? NOPE! Amazon thinks it can manage my home network better than I can. I'm literally the only user! My network isn't remotely crowded. There's no good reason for these constant downshifts. The device isn't damaged, clogged with dust, or placed in a bad spot. I'm tired of having to restart my entire network to get my devices back to 5 GHz. That's what's REQUIRED to fix this. That doesn't make sense! It also gets me in trouble at work! STOP THIS! If 5 GHz is available and not crowded, it should push everything to that band. According to my search, this setting was once available and would allow forcing it to do this. Where is it now? POOF! Removed. Why? I can't change it from the device list either. By the way, it's during these times that eero tells me that I'm pulling down 476 Mbps! So, it's not my provider either. On top of that, eero have my Window laptop a new IP address. That's fine. But now I can't remove the old item from the device list, so it's permanently stuck in there twice. That caused confusion and frustration too. I had to rename it. And because it's literally the same device, I'm worried that blocking the old entry will also block the new entry. Is it attractive? Yes. It's it easy to set up? Yes. Are some of those controls convenient? Yes. Is it overly stripped down? Yes. Does this decision inconvenience the customer? Very much so. Have I had this issue with any other wireless gateway? Absolutely not; only this one. I wish I could return it, but I missed the window long ago. It's been doing this since one of the summer updates, and it's probably going to be a permanent problem. Don't fix what isn't broken because no one is going to want to fix it later. I'm not upgrading to future versions. I'll be changing brands instead. Way to get in your own way - and mine. ... show more

  • Easy solution for a house with thicker walls and lots of interference.
Configuration: 1-Pack
This product installed in less than 30 minutes for all three units that I integrated utilizing the phone app for settings. It immediately improved BW in all areas of my house and yard. In fact, my Family Room TV, which was in room directly below the Verizon Internet receiver, was having buffering issues before the installation. Now, with the Mesh system, zero buffering anywhere in the house. We are seeing greater than 350Mbps down load speeds everywhere now. ... show more

  • No more buffering
I bought this in 2021 and have enjoyed the great internet reception I get and still get. What was confusing is that I have the fastest internet available to my area and was getting the circle going around waiting to catch up I had a netgear extender and a AT&T extender which didn’t do the trick. Buffering is the circle that goes round and round waiting for the internet to catch up. I’m no internet expert at all- I can just tell you that this worked for me and continues to. ... show more

  • Just what I needed to make my T Mobile 5g service useable in the entire house.
Configuration: 1-Pack
The placement requirements of the T Mobile 5g cellular router ( in a window facing the signal direction) meant that the router had to be all the way at the back end of my house to get a strong signal but the routers Wi-Fi signal on the opposite end of the house was pretty weak. The eero system was just the ticket. The set up of the eero system was extremely simple and was up a running in about 20 minutes. The app does most of the setup. Just connected the first eero to the router with a Cat 6 cable and the other 2 units are connected wirelessly. Now the Wi-Fi signal is evenly spread out through the entire home. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. An excellent addition to you EERO router. If you need to extend your Wi-Fi and want an EERO extender, then this might be what your need. I selected the router as it has 2 ethernet ports where the extender does not and it was a bit less expensive. Increase coverage to the office area easily. Simple to connect and setup with the phone app. I highly recommed looking at the EERO's if you are looking to upgrade systems or if you already own one and want to create a mesh network. ... show more
