  • Stands the test of a toddler - but maybe not the test of travel
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
These are our go-to sippy cups for mealtimes with our 1 year old. She learned to use them very quickly and the weighted straw allows her to always get the liquid. However, when we've packed this sippy cup up with liquid when on-the-go, we find the liquid spills out of the straw the second the cap is released - leaving me to believe it gets pressurized easily. So heads up this may not be good on a plane. Also, the straw parts sometimes seem to align imperfectly causing more resistance/air to the stream of liquid. It is hard to tell sometimes when this has happened but usually the cue is my baby girl getting frustrated. I then have to try the straw myself to see if it is working properly. To fix it, I just undo the lid and wiggle the straw a bit - not sure what exactly happens. Pros: simple design, stands being thrown and dropped with minimal loss of liquid | easy to learn Cons: consists of a few parts that take up room in the dishwasher/make it harder to clean by hand | use on a plane is not suggested due to pressure causing liquid to come out of straw once cap is released | Straw can sometimes get a little wonky and needs some jiggling to make the liquid flow easier Conclusion: Even given the cons, I find this the best weighted straw sippy cup on the market. It does not leak out the sides if turned any which way. It does not leak or come apart when thrown across the room, and it has been easy for my 1 year old to learn to use herself. It has checked most of the boxes better than other options. ... show more

  • My 8 mos old drinks from this
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I wasn’t sure what kind or sippy cup my son would like since he is breast fed. I was told that breast fed babies do well with straws and so I found this in my recommendations and it’s awesome. My niece (2 yes ild) used the second one just fine. It took my son three tries since he just wanted to to chew on it but he’s doing great with this. I had no problem disassembling it to clean. I just put water and juice in it and so far no buildup or anything. I’ll give an update a couple of months from now. He does indeed throw it but he also drinks majority of it. He does drink a lot and some drips out, but that’s a him problem and not the product. Would recommend for babies and toddlers. (Looks just like the pictures and great for the price) ... show more

  • My 14MO’s favorite cup
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Initially got these when I started teaching my son to drink from a straw. It didn’t work for us, but once he got the concept down, I whipped these out and they quickly became his favorite cup. When I tested it out, I was surprised how difficult it was for ME to drink from this cup- had to suck very hard, but my 14 month old drinks with ease. He will down the whole bottle in three minutes. He never gags on the water because it doesn’t come out as quickly as other straw cups. It doesn’t leak, however, I always have to open it for him because the button to open the lid doesn’t work very well. A pain to clean, but my son loves this bottle, so I put up with it. EDIT TO ADD: Even with daily washing, it’s impossible to fully dry the crevices behind the button used to open the lid and mold started growing. So sad, had to throw them both out after 4 months ... show more

  • Just like Dr. Brown's
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Just like Dr. BROWN'S at a fraction of the cost. The only difference I have noticed with these and Dr. Browns is that the button area for the lid does get soiled in these whereas the Browns ones are sealed so no liquid gets in. I have 2 toddlers on weighted straw cups and we've tried almost every brand we could find. These are the favorites but they could use some tweaks to make them perfect. Cleaning- The straw piece breaks down into 2 pieces (top straw and flexible tube with weight) These makes the mama bear soooo much easier to clean than the munchkin brand where the straw is one piece and only the weight can be seperated. The cup is short and stout and is easy to clean. It is fairly smooth so there isn't any weird crevices in the mama bear/ Dr. Browns cup whereas the munchkin has two tabs where liquid can get stuck and build up. The lid in the mama bear has multiple crevices on the bottom but is easily cleaned with a bristled brush and the munchkins dome shape lids is smooth with only the straw attachments and vent. Lid- Lid is pretty useless unless you are storing them. The lid does pinch the straw so it doesn't back flow and leak. I rarely ever store these with liquid in them so the lids to ours are all in the drawer since they usually get torn off anyways by my 2 toddlers ( sometimes on purpose, sometimes not) and the button to open the lid is kinda hard for a toddler push which ends up with my toddlers wanting me to open it after they close it and that quickly turns into a game (they shut and I open) The munchkin brand has a dome lid with a sliding lid that is more functional. Open/Close : These do get a little to tight sometimes which is a pain in the butt when you're trying to fill an empty cup while your toddler screams they're thirsty over and over and over and over and ... you get the point. The munchkin brand has a turn & snap/lock feature that removes this issue. Weight- These have a ball shaped weight and my toddlers are able to get most if not all or the liquid out. The munchkin has a flat saucer like weight which also does well and maybe even a little better. ... show more
