Love the look of this bookshelf in my space. It was a little difficult to put together and I did wish I had someone to help me assemble it when I did. ✓ Package arrived on time and in perfect condition. No damages. No missing parts. Please note that this product is shipped via Ground and by "on time" I mean the normal amount of time it takes for Ground shipping (In my case it usually takes 6-7 days). ✓ Material : Particle boards. Particle Wood Frame. ✓ Quality: Great. Extremely sturdy! ✓ All required Hardware are included. In addition to the included hardware, the assembly process requires a Philip screwdriver. I also used a 3.6V power screwdriver (from Ikea). ✓ Assembly and installation: Hard. - The instruction manual contains only picture illustrations. It does not provide any worded explanation. But the illustrations are quite understandable. - The pre drilled holes are a little too small for the included hardware. This requires us to put in a lot of power and effort to install this bookshelf. I used a 3.6 V power screwdriver in certain steps during the installation and it saved me a lot of energy. - Even though at the end of the installation we get a sturdy and strong bookshelf, I strongly feel that the entire process could have been made a lot more easier if only the predrilled holes were a little bigger. ✓ This bookshelf can be used as a stand alone assembly OR could be installed on to the wall. Hardware is included for both options. I opted to use this as a standalone assembly. For this, two blocks are included which need to be attached to the two hind legs of the bookshelf. This prevents the bookshelf from tipping over. But please note that if you are using this standalone option, the bookshelf is going to be protruding 3.5 inches from the wall. ✓ So at the end, I've got a very strong and sturdy bookshelf after a long and tedious installation process. The exceptional quality and sturdiness of this product outweighs the problems encountered during it's installation. Hence I've given it a 5 star rating. ✓ Dimensions; Overall height - 71" Width - 25" Depths of the shelves are as follows: Bottom most shelf - 13.5" First shelf from the bottom - 11.1" Second shelf from the bottom - 9" Third shelf from bottom (second from top) - 6.8" Top most shelf - 4.5" ... show more

Like most people stated, the instructions do suck… there are only photos and no words. it’s not super hard to figure out but some things are kinda confusing… don’t try to over complicate it because you probably are doing it right, the instructions are just awful. took about an hour or two to put it together by myself, it wasn’t super hard just a little confusing! id suggest sorting and labeling the screws and stuff before hand tho because it made it a thousand times easier. without labeling it was confusing because in the actual instructions you can’t tell what’s what. kinda hard to explain but you’ll understand when you get it lol. otherwise i think this bookshelf is super cute. definitely an upgrade from what i had before and completely puts my room together. seems pretty sturdy and i love the color on it sm!! also a great price, typically i see bookshelves look like this go for a lot more. ... show more

Fairly priced and exactly what I was looking for! I definitely needed the blocks for the base to keep it sturdy without attaching to the wall. Despite other reviews saying it was difficult to assemble, we actually found this to be one of the easiest piece of furniture we’ve assembled, like less than 20 mins assembling! I’m not sure if they changed packaging/instructions or what but I’ll admit I was intimidated by reviews that said it was difficult only to find the exact opposite just my experience. It’s not perfect as there were some very minor dings on a piece or two but again I couldn’t beat the price and they were so negligible, I was more nervous sending it back and getting one worse. Only reason I’m rating this 3/5 stars is because of the assembly and some design flaws. I’ve assembled IKEA furniture easier than this thing. In true fashion it comes with a pictogram on how to assemble the thing and let’s just say it was designed by an inept person. At one point you have to assemble the struts that hold the shelves well they have you placing them before you place the support screws for the shelf. This made the first half of the project a nightmare having 0 work room. There are NO videos on the tube of you helping if you get stuck. Then when it came to placing the brackets on the shelf the holes for the screws are mismatched. I opted to not place them since I won’t be having heavy items on there but still made for a crappy time. The material is as expected, subpar but serves a purpose. Weight of the item is about par for an aluminum latter. Not very stable unless you use the mounting brackets for the wall (WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR HOUSES THAT HAVE SMALL CHILDREN OR PETS WHO LOUNGE ON FURNITURE). There were a few handling scuffs on the material but can’t complain for something that is basically bachelor pad furniture. All in all, I would not buy something like this again. I’d rather spend the extra $$ and go get a real quality item already assembled. ... show more

Functionally this bookshelf is great. Bought it for my husband's man cave. The instructions were not really clear so there was a lot of putting together and taking apart to get it right.
