This is a nice set of luggage. I really like the blue color - it reminds me of my car's finish! It's a rich blue with a sheen. It has nice details, both cosmetic and practical. I tried all the zippers and looked at the stitching and everything looks good. The fabric is good quality - I think able to stand up to the dangers of the airport. I like the three-section detail on the suitcase's big pocket. It's a nice touch, just there for looks. The duffle bag has a long strap and a handle with Velcro-type fastening.     • Old school type of nylon denier wheelie, not a spinner, for domestic carry-on

Two super important features to note regarding this suitcase: 1) it's not a spinner, and 2) the height measurement will restrict it from most if not all international travel as a carry-on. So count on it for domestic flights only - and double check with your particular airline, as the ultra-lowcost carriers might have smaller allowances. I measured this suitcase - which to me is royal blue, not navy blue - and it comes out a generous inch taller than my present hardside spinner carryon that has gone all over the world in the cabin with me. Meaning, I haven't had to check it as baggage yet. My present carryon is 21.4" tall. The Amazon model may well get eyeballed into gate checking on an international flight - don't risk it. So, what are the pros of a suitcase like this? First, it's very lightweight, about 1.5 pounds lighter than my spinner. Second, because it's fabric it has a lot of flexibility when overpacking. Third, it's basic and doesn't have a TSA lock to fiddle with. Zippers are nice and big. Fourth, it isn't a spinner, which means it can hold up better when crossing over uneven surfaces like cobblestones, bricks, potholes, dropping off curbs, and the like - things that might damage a spinner's more exposed wheels. The cover opens like a book, meaning, the cover (with 2 outside pockets) is one piece with little interior storage, and all the storage is on the other side, and it's deep. Not half and half as with spinners. So there is more usable space with this, by far. The situations in which this would come in handy are traveling by train, bus, car, or certain domestic flights. I'm not a huge fan of the tote bag, because it's really too small to be of much use, and too big to work as a crossbody. I'd rather the fabric was used to make a matching backpack that fits underseat dimensions of 17" x 11" x 8" or whatever they are. For the price, it's an okay value. Take away the tote bag and lower the price and it would be a better value. ... show more

This is more of a burgundy color which i love versus a straight red. I like the quality and feel as it feels sturdy and will maintain a lot of travel days. I really love the extra storage pockets that allow me to store and isolate a lot of my items versus throwing everything in together. It is a nice size, very roomy with expandable zipper. I especially love the smaller, matching personal bag which I'll probably use as my personal item when traveling. This is very room and will store a lot of my personal items. Love! ... show more

This is a set of basic luggage with a tote bag. Although I knew exactly what I was getting, the handles on the luggage were surprisingly weak after I organized the luggage with other bags and travel items before I stowed away in the closet. As I preferred soft shell luggage with opening in the front for easy to organize or reorganize, this luggage fit my purpose. I think this luggage is decently made for the price it advertised. The short luft handle on top and on the side of the bag are very thoughtful design. All zippers and rollers are working well, although I wish there are four rollers instead of two. I recommend to check with airlines before considering this a carry on, as I check with my airlines which anly allow total measurements of 45" would not allow this one as it is over 47 inches without expansion, with expansion it will probably measures around 50 inches. However i still think the set deserved a 4 stars for a road trip because the quality of the material used seems heavy duty and the stitches seems strong and sturdy for durability. The lining inside the luggage and tote are nicely tailored. The tote offers good size for quick change of walking shoes in my situation, and it attaches easily to the luggage, which is nice when I walk the luggage from parking lot that's distance from lobby. I am happy the set fit my need for a week long road trip. ... show more

Pros: - Fairly durable; it actually feels stronger than the cheap hard-shell plastic suitcases these days, even though it's fabric. - I got the red one and really like the color. It will be easy to keep track of in an airport. - It fits in the overhead compartment of planes for a carry-on. - It rolls well, the wheels are all smooth. - It has a surprisingly good amount of space for packing since the sides aren't too thick.
