Imagine this: it's late, you've been binge-watching that show you said you'd only watch one episode of, and now you have to stumble through the dark to get to your Amazon Basics Foldable Metal Platform Bed Frame. "It's dark," you think, "I'm tired, what could go wrong?" Oh, my dear friend, so much, so much... But let's start at the beginning. The setup? Seamless! Even my cat could have done it, if she had opposable thumbs and didn't spend most of her day napping in the most inconvenient places. It took me a mere 15 minutes, no tools required! Who knew? I, a self-confessed DIY disaster, assembled a bed frame. That alone deserves a five-star rating. The bed frame is black, much like the coffee I now need to function. Sleek, modern, and unassuming. What could it do, you ask? Well, it can fold, that's what. Fold! Like some origami bed from the future. And yet, it's as sturdy as an oak tree, even when you do a 'test jump'. Not that I recommend that. Please, for the sake of your downstairs neighbors, don't. Now, the 14-inch height, that's the sweet spot. It's perfect for all of you out there who have always wanted to be a ninja. Why, you might ask? Because every time you get up in the middle of the night, you forget about the frame and - WHAM - your shin meets steel. You're a night ninja now, training in the ancient art of 'Shin-to-Frame' contact. Bonus, it keeps you alert for late-night bathroom trips. But, here's the magical part. No matter how many times my shins have had an intimate rendezvous with this frame, the moment my head hits the pillow, all is forgiven. This bed frame is the perfect blend of firm support and flexibility that makes my mattress feel like it was kissed by an angel. I've had dreams in languages I don't even speak. In conclusion, this Amazon Basics Foldable Metal Platform Bed Frame has everything: the look, the ease of assembly, the sturdy support, the secret ninja training, and the power to give you dreams in fluent French. Size: Full Style: 14-Inch
This bed is far better than I expected. It is plenty sturdy for every day use (not just a cot for temporary guests). Bonus: It has metal supports running both length and width. Most beds only have width supports. The length supports all for a memory foam mattress. That kind of mattress will sink between the supports on the other beds. Bonus: There is really no assembly needed. It comes in two pieces which can be bolted together with only a thumb-screw (included) Bonus: Super quick & easy to disassemble & store. Remove the thumb-screws, fold the two pieces in half, stick them into a closet or under a bed. Each of the two sections are light, making them easier to carry/move around. Bonus: The two sections absolutely can be used separately. So you get a full-sized bed and(or) two twins. It wasn't clear to me if this would be possible, but it is. Bonus: Pretty much every bed out there has standard, four legs. On this bed, each piece has six legs (two additional, for extra support in the middle). This results in 12 legs total for the full-sized bed. That's good to know if one is concerned about weight support. How is this the cheapest platform bed and at the same time be the best, most convenient? PS. Yes, the following voids any warranty, but I did it and very happy with the result..... I wanted the bed to be very low to the ground. As-is, it is ~12 inches high, allowing for underneath storage. I cut all the legs to the level of the cross-bar supports. This took ~6 inches off the height. I removed the rubber feet from each cut-off leg and inserted them into the now shortened leg. Easy. Still fully strong & supported. So, just saying - I took a chance at this working, and it did. ... show more

If you have the money & want just a metal frame to support a King size mattress, I recommend this frame. It's sturdy, supportive & the set up is ridiculously simple. The frame is comprised of two twin frames that are delivered in a roughly 4' x 4' box. The box is heavy, but I carried it up two flights of stairs without incident. The frames are easy to remove from the box & fold out to full length without resistance. Place the frames side by side and connect them at the head & foot with two plastic screws and nuts provided. That's it. When you move, the breakdown will be equally simple. Our mattress is a DreamCloud Premier, which is very heavy & 14" inches thick - a beast... No, a Mastodon lol. The frame supports the mattress from corner to corner, and every square inch between. Yeah, it's a little pricey but it's a great resolution to an issue over which people sometimes fret. Further, while I haven't tried this, I think the footprint will allow the entire assembly of bed frame and mattress to fit within, say, a wooden frame with a bookcase headboard or whatever suits your preference. ... show more

This is not my first bedframe from Amazon, but it is the first one that I bought for myself. I’ve only had it for about a week and I love it! My covers do not slip off and my mattress does not slide around. Also, as it was advertised, it is very very quiet. I did not pay a lot for it. I know it was only a twin size, but I do believe no matter which one you get it will work the same for you. I have always recommended Amazon bed frames because my sister has bought them for herself and her two girls and I love the sturdiness of it. I am right now trying to convince a friend of mine that she should get one. I also like the storage space underneath. Right now I have three tall bins under my bed. Of course, how much you can store under the bed depends on the height that you get. ... show more
