This is a basic frame. It was quick and easy to put up. This style requires a BOX SPRING! So you should be aware that it is useless without one! After a snafu with the first one (got sent a used twin in a queen box), I ended up paying more for the replacement and am still waiting for my pickup and credit. But it’s a solid product and a great choice for a standard frame. There's nothing bad I can say about this frame at all. It's nice and sturdy, well-made, and it was a snap to put it together. We were looking for an old skool frame, as we enjoy using a box spring. This one fit our needs and was priced right. No squeaks, no issues, just a great bed.

I have a newish (5 years) mattress and boxspring but was still using an old frame that only went around the perimeter of the bed. My boxspring had started to sag in the middle and I had ALOT of back and leg pains at night. I had no idea that this one minor detail could affect everything. I highly recommend this frame!. The beams are designed to fit snug into a welded steal side piece so there is no movement outward OR inward and there is a beam across the middle with a foot for the center of the bed. the added support there makes all the difference. It's simple and brilliant. There are holes for a headboard with a cpl options on height. it an awesome upgrade to the box and mattress you already have if you don't have that middle bar. ... show more

The bracket to attach the headboard is not adjustable. The bracket openings are higher than 7” and my headboard has screws at 4” and 6”. I didn’t think about the fact that the center leg on both sides of the frame are inconvenient placed on the outer frame and you potentially can kick or walk into it getting into bed.
