I was searching for a thick, cushiony, yoga mat FOREVER when I finally landed on the Amazon Basic one. I love the pretty pink color, and for any 10$ (on prime day) it’s a steal for the quality mat you get. I know there’s yoga mats that cost 20$+ and aren’t as good quality as this. There’s a more ribbed side (for exercising on) and a smooth side which actually grips the floor really well. I like the strap that is comes with to carry on the go, and the thickness of this mat is a 10/10 (main reason for my five stars). The thickness makes doing any exercise on it SUPER comfortable, even on top of a hard gym floor, and it’s more than long enough for me (for reference I’m 5’2” [just as in the photo^]). Also, the actual width of the yoga mat is nice but might be inadequate for someone who is bigger or taller, depending on what it will be used for. It’s also comfy enough that my dog likes to lay on it. Still don’t know about the long term quality, but it seems as though it will hold up just fine. I bought this mat to have a place to do my physical therapy exercises for a torn meniscus in my knee. It is so much better than just laying on my carpeted floor. It has just the right softness to it, but is still firm enough on the floor. It is easy to roll out and roll up and has a great band to put on it to keep it rolled up when not in use.
