The pieces it comes up are nonsensical. A well fitting bolt and washer work fine. I luckily had some spare washers. The instructions made this way harder than needed. No idea who's putting heavy items needing heavy duty drywall studs on these little things.

I originally purchased these for my office. That didn't last so now I'm using them for my wet bar! I love the versatility of these. They're sturdy as you can see from my picture I have small Deco on them. But it all depends on how you install them in your wall. If you get lucky and can find a stud or just use anchors for added support. They're not cheap looking. And you can turn the brackets they sink down or up on the shelves. Bought these shelves for my entertainment room in order to display some memorabilia (figurines, models). I was a little disappointed by the feel of the boards. They are super light weight and just feel very flimsy. I was anxious affixing them to the mounting brackets, worried that they would split or break, however, so far they have held up. The shelves are pretty easily installed. You don't need much other than a screwdriver and a leveling tool. I used a drill to make hanging them a little easier. I put the shelves on wood walls, drilled holes before mounting the shelves, and they went on with no problem. I like the option to mount the brackets either on top or below the board. This came in handy as some items needed the full board space, so mounting the brackets below worked out perfectly. I did not realize that the three shelves in the set are each a different length. My fault for not reading thoroughly, but I wish that it this had been highlighted in the item title. I'm not sure that I would have purchased them if I realized that. Given the different sizes you're unable to place them in a way that looks neat and uniform. ... show more

I have a 12-pound cat and a large cat tower (one of the ones that extends all the way to the ceiling). I put these on my wall to function as "stairs", so my cat can get off the tower without jumping from the top to the couch. They were extremely easy to install, and they fully support his weight without any issue. He also seems to like them, he's constantly rubbing them with his cheek affectionately. The shelves are nice but the placement of the screw holes in relation to the support bars makes it highly difficult to tighten the bolts to the wall. It’s definitely a process and there’s a lot of room for error

Did not know what to expect with the shelfs. Looked cheap from the pictures online. However, these shelfs come in matte finish which is not to bad. When assembling use a screw driver when putting the screws into the boards, it will help avoid over tightening which causes the board to crack.
