    • Not actually shocks, and are very stiff
These are not actually shocks; they are stiff springs wrapped around something that looks like a shock, but is not. The "shock" is not a gas or oil pressurized cylinder, it's just a tube with some rubber grommets in it. The spring was so stiff that I couldn't really compress one by a noticeable amount by standing on it (~190lbs), so I took the spring off hoping to use just the shock part for my project. That's when I discovered that there was no force other than minor friction restricting the shocks movement internally. It's just a bolt with some grommets holding it in place. Good overall but could only compress them about half an inch while jumping on them and im a little over 150lbs

    • Extremely Stiff
These are not springs, these are rigid helical rods. I tried to use two of them in the rear of my go kart, but they're so stiff that it may as well not even have suspension. I can jump up and down on the shock mount (weight of 170 lbs) and the frame flexes more than these so called springs. For a set they're about $10 cheaper than any other option, and that should be a red flag. They don't work in my application, and I can't imagine any where they would. ... show more

    • Way to stiff.
I built these into an electric powered car I built for my grand children. These are way to stiff for the application and don’t come with any kind of rating so I can get an idea of what to replace them with. I took them apart ant cut 1.75 coils of off the spring and now they will compress a little.
