I have been so excited waiting for this to arrive! I ordered it for my backyard deck knowing my grandkids would absolutely love it. I planned to add some fairy garden figures to make it even more magical. It came today and I loved it immediately but after taking it from the box I found a piece was broken on one of the corners. It wasn't too bad but it showed from the back. I called Alpine's customer service and sent a photo of the broken area. It wasn't much more than an hour when they notified me that a new fountain would be sent to replace the one I got! I couldn't believe it! I've never had such prompt service from any company! Not ever! I highly recommend this cute fountain - not just because it is so adorable and well made, but also the customer service was exceptional! 5-15-23 I purchased my original fairy castle a year ago. When it got here it had a small broken piece on the corner of the tower (see above) It was replaced immediately without any qustion. I had already sealed and treated my original fountain so I decided to just leave my replacement in the box and open it this spring. When I opened it, it was badly cracked on the bottom of the tower area. I contacted them again, and sent in pictures of the damage, Shadelle contacted me and said a brand new replacement would be coming! She was very kind, even after I explained what happened. They totally guarantee their product and I couldn't be happier with their customer service. ... show more

After some adjusting for manufacturing issues, works fine and looks good in dry creek setting. Note that what Amazon sells does not include what other sellers do with this product. Pump is strong, sound is good, and so far there seems to be very little water loss compared to other fountains. Things to consider. Not designed to match precision of casting. Wheel on product delivered was just crooked enough to repeatedly catch on the fountain structure, freezing in place after just a few rotations. Several attempts at adjusting the wheel's placement and spindle to offset the issue were not successful. Finally had to cut out of the fountain body to enable the wheel to operate continuously. Product was much heavier than the noted 32 lbs., but with two were able to carry the box to location and put in place. Various places note a light, and the instruction manual packaged in the box with the fountain contains specific instructions about installing the light before the pump. However, Amazon does not ship with a light and their support representative stated what they ship does not come with a light. A quick web search reveals this does not appear to be the case if purchased from other sellers. So buyer beware. ... show more

Yup, I Love, Love, Love This Fountain. I painted it up by re-doing the castle's stucco-work, accented the stone, re-painted the door brown with bronze knobs, and painted up the "moss" bushes around the castle. Then I applied a few coasts of sealant spray to protect it all. The areas that the water comes through are getting a series of blue stones set inside to add to the fantasy-water look, and in time I'll have some good quality fairies or gnomes perched on top, but am still in the market for the right ones. Ill upload pictures of it once it's finished, but this buy was a great deal for this particular fountain. By the way, the top piece comes off, so if you want to paint it separately, you can. Doesn't exactly line up when placed on top the rest of the castle, but it's hardly noticeable, and didn't distract me from giving this 5 stars! ... show more

    • Broken pieces in box. Major leak in fountain.

There were a handful of broken material pieces in the basin of this fountain when I finally got the box open. I looked carefully for breakage and, seeing none, assembled it (easy). This is super cute and I was in love until I noticed the water level dropping dramatically. One of the broken pieces caused a small hole and the water was gushing out the back. It’s going to be a pain to reassemble all the styrofoam but I’ll return it. I contacted customer service and haven’t heard back yet. I may order another since it is beautiful, but it depends on the customer service. It is very heavy, beautiful and easy to assemble. Just beware of small but significant holes. ... show more
