For the price, this is unbeatable. I was deciding between grey and beige and ended up ordering both (I do not recommend this as the boxes are extremely heavy and a huge pain to move/impossible to move without a cart). I found the grey a bit dark for my liking. The beige color is great. I do wish it was a bit lighter, and more of a solid color, but this was absolutely the best option I found at this price point. It was easy to build, but time consuming. We made a few mistakes along the way and had to take apart and put back together, but it was smooth other than that. Took about 2 hours total with 2 people. The hydraulic lift function works great. I found some helpful tips from other reviews about how to make the lift go down the first time. Overall this is an amazing way to save space and have hidden storage if that’s what you’re looking for! Highly recommend. ... show more

This is a wonderful bed with very clear instructions, all of the parts were labeled and separated neatly, and it's made out of great material! I've never had a better/more convenient bed! I will say though that it is a hassle to build. There are a lot of parts to it and though they all make sense, it's just a lot. It will require 2 people to build at some point to hold the frame up while someone installs the hydraulics. It took my husband about 4 hours to build practically on his own (I'm pregnant and limited to my abilities). If that doesn't bother you, I highly recommend this bed! I love this frame. It takes a while to put together, and I definitely recommend having a drill with hex bits to make assembly faster. Flexi extension would be helpful for harder to reach screws. I assembled by myself (about 2.5hrs) but I definitely recommend 2 people. It looks great and I've been sleeping on it for a couple weeks and it's definitely sturdy. I will say if you have a very heavy mattress like I do, you'll need something to help hold it open when you're organizing stuff. I use an old pool stick. My mattress is probably 175lbs. I was able to fit all of my camping and hiking gear under this thing (I have a LOT) and I still have room for more stuff. I do kinda worry about spiders getting under there, but I'll probably put some kind of deterrent so they stay out of my stuff. ... show more

It’s exactly pictured and as described. It’s very sturdy and easy to assemble. No more dog toys rolling under neath. I really like the idea of having the mattress be lifted to store and hid stuff underneath without having them visible. You really maximize store space with this design. Not only that, ease of cleaning under the bed via mop or vacuum without removing the mattress and box spring!! Now why minus 1 star - the hydraulics that allows you to lift the mattress are very hard to open and close. When I first installed them I couldn’t close it down. I thought maybe I had bad parts because it was so stiff. Luckily, I read a reviewer said that you have to pull down very hard to close it. After the first use it was a little easier. To mentally prepare you, it really felt like I had to pull down all my weight before it started to move and compress down (100+ lbs). Lifting with the king size mattress on felt like trying to lift a 100 lbs weight barbell too. But once the hydraulics are in motion it’s opens up smoothly and that goes same as closing. The upside: it doesn’t slam up or down on you. It definitely gives you a peace of mind that once it’s up, it stays up, and when it’s down, it stays down. I wouldn’t recommend this bed frame to elderlies or if you have a disability that prevents you lifting heavy objects; that is you’re looking to use the under bed storage featured design because of how much strength is needed to open/close it. Went through all the struggle of building the bed and got to the part with installing the hydraulics and they won’t close! Why buy a bed with storage if you can’t even use it. I would return it but then I’d have to take the whole thing apart again. If you still choose to buy it test the hydraulics before putting it together. Save yourself the trouble. ... show more

The bed itself is okay, but the hydraulic bars won’t stay open all the way. It doesn’t work all that well. Setting up was fine, I took 2.5hrs by myself, but there were some holes that wouldn’t line up correctly and it can get hard to tighten the screws.
