We bought this tablet for my daughter after her last one broke. The package was delivered quickly and on time. Inside was the tablet, case, charging cord, and wall adapter. We upgraded to the newer version that is designed for older kids. This tablet has a much sleeker case but it is still sturdy and protective. Plus she loves the cute colorful design. The battery life is decent but of course will deplete faster when using certain apps. We charge it 3-4 days a week and it charges easily and fast. The table is very lightweight with a screen the perfect size for my daughter to watch movies, read books, or play games. And the headphone jack is ideal when we are on the go. Being able to download apps is also great when we are away and can't always connect to WIFI. Whether connected to the internet or not, all the apps seem to perform faster than her last tablet too. My favorite feature is all the parental controls. Some are set by default but can easily be changed. I love that I can set screen time limits and require a set time amount of something educational be done before the other apps are available. ***it does take a memory card for extra space. If you're looking for the micro SD slot for more space you have to take the tablet cover off, and it's on one of the longer sides of the tablet. Flip it and insert memory card. Put back on your tablet cover. It's great so kids can't take it out as easy. My child has had a fire tablet since he was 4. I have upgraded to the newest kids tablet every year for his birthday. This is the newest one for him. He's loved playing Minecraft, Roblox, some apps that come pre installed on the tablet, and he also likes browsing the store. - The kids fire tablet is easy for kids to use and pick up on. - I can set restrictions like he has to read or learn first, and what times he can use it to limit screen time. - The coolest thing is I can do it all from my phone. From approving games, education, and screen time. The memory on the device is decent for a kid but you can always upgrade it with a micro SD card. He has Minecraft, Roblox, messenger for kids and some other games I had to approve. Sound: whew this thing is loud for what it is. I'd recommend some headphones so you don't have to hear it loll. Overall the appearance nice, it's a good value for your money (I know it's a high price tag compared to other brands) but the amount of peace it brings to a parent is worth it. Very happy with the quality of this tablet. The large screen allows for ease of navigation for little fingers. The processing system handles learning apps very well. Simplicity of setting up parental controls makes this I bit safer for kids to navigate and track.

This is the best fire tablet we have had from Amazon! My girls love the large screen and the space for all of their games and content. I love that they are durable and the battery is long-lasting! We paired these tablets with cordless headphones and made all of our summer travels fun and easy!!!

Bought 2 of these last Christmas for the grandkids. They love them. I love that they can be set up to allow age-appropriate content. With the Amazon Kids subscription, the grandkids can "shop" the app store and download content that aligns with their account settings. They can request content that either costs dollars or is a little outside of the guardrail settings. They are pretty sturdy. One of the two tablets is acting a little weird 9 months out; we have to turn it off and turn it back on, and then all is well. I know there was a 2-year warranty included - so I am hopeful that if I have to use it, that will go well. That is the reason for the 4 stars due to one of the tablets acting up. ... show more

Amazon Kids subscription is new to us, but was a nice bonus to this deal. Overall, a great tablet with a sharp screen and great brightness. The bevels are small and it runs smoothly. We returned a different table because it couldn't play my son's favorite game, but this one handles it with ease. We will probably get this same one for our other son at some point. Great value overall. **2 Week Update. All the above still stands, but I would add that it didn't take long for the tablet to start to slow down and occasionally freeze. It's not a long freeze, but you can tell that certain games it can't handle as well. If you're looking for a tablet that can handle a lot of games this is probably not it. We have probably only added 5 or 6 games (in addition to streaming apps) so it hasn't been anything ridiculous. My daughter loves her tablet. She had an older one and it was very bulky but this one is so sleek and comfortable.
