  • Best value in a battery sprayer.
I gave a 5 star. I found this sprayer to be the best value for the money. Exactly what I was looking for, but really suit for most normal household/garden use. I love the fact that it holds a charge and allows you to continuously spray without pumping or clogging. I wanted it for weed control and it works great. The sprayer itself works fantastic. what used to take me hours to do has been reduced to minutes. I can mix more, spray more, less refill time and NO MORE HAND PUMPING. The opening is pretty big to pour in the mixed chemical without worrying about the drips. This package comes with 2 heads although haven’t tried all of them, I mainly used fan nozzle and so far so good. The sprayer itself isn't terribly heavy. The shoulder straps are comfortable. All and all a good buy. I highly recommend this sprayer. ... show more

  • Early Impressions; a Great Sprayer
Size: Self-Clean/4GL
I did a lot of research when replacing my old hand pump backpack sprayer with a battery powered one. One of the features that helped me decide on this sprayer was the self-cleaning feature. I have a large pond and need to spray algicides in order to keep the surface clean. That leads me to the second reason I chose this sprayer. It sprays at least 30 feet horizontally depending on wind and chemicals being sprayed. When I received the sprayer, I was immediately impressed with the manner in which it was packaged. After some minor assembly and charging the battery, it was ready for use. I ran a tank of plain water in it first to see the different spray patterns of the three included tips. After that, I mixed up some algicide and put the sprayer to use. I was a little concerned at first that the straps did not include straps across the stomach. After properly adjusting the straps, I realized that a strap across the stomach was not necessary. It does have a strap with buckle across the chest. The unit is very comfortable on the back and the on/off/variable pressure dial is easy to reach. When I finished spraying, I rinsed the tank since I used the entire mixture minus just a very small amount in the bottom of the tank. I poured a bucket of water and attached the self-cleaning pickup hose. I flipped the diverter valve to clean and pumped plain water through the pump, hose, and nozzle. It doesn't get any easier than this. The battery has a lot of charge left in it so there is no need to charge it after each use. Given all of the choices out there, I am really glad I picked this one. Absolutely no leaks, a strong performer, and not at all uncomfortable on the back. This is a solid piece of equipment. I am in high hopes it gives me years of trouble-free service. ... show more

  • Just as good as the FlowZone sprayers
Size: Self-Clean/4GL
I've had this sprayer for a full 2 seasons and it has held up remarkably well. At first I thought I was settling with an inferior product compared to the FlowZone Typhoon (they were sold out everywhere back in early 2022 due to supply chain issues) but it's been the best $300 I've spent. I regularly spray fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers, and humic acid it has significantly reduced fatigue and reduced the time per application. I use TeeJet spray nozzles (with adapter) which I can quickly change out depending on what I'm spraying and the type of wind conditions. I also accidently forgot to turn the pump off one time after cleaning the sprayer. So after the water slowly bleed out of the pump, it ran non-stop without water for 24 hours before I caught it. I thought I ruined the pump but it has ran flawlessly for a year. Pretty impressive if you ask me! BTW, this is the same exact sprayer as the one Yard Mastery sells. I'm pretty sure the sprayers from FlowZone, Yard Mastery, and Alientabi comes from the same manufacturer because many of the parts are identical (including the batteries). ... show more

  • Unique features I haven't seen in other backpack sprayers. Some minor upgrades
Size: Self-Clean/4GL
I have looked over a number of backback sprayers, and knew that I wanted a battery powered one so that it can spray more evenly. I have used pump style sprayers before and once the pressure gets lower I tend to overspray or underspray areas, so I knew a battery powered one would keep a constant stream (hopefully). This product has features that I haven't seen on any other battery powered backpack sprayers, such as the pressure washer style spray attachment which can use the same nozzles as pressure washers. Other backpack sprayers have weak plastic nozzles pointed at weird angles. The motor isn't loud and I can dial in the pressure I want which is also a unique and useful feature. I thought I would really like the rinse feature, but I will probably never use it only because it seems like it would be easier to attach a water hose to the tank at a lower pressure and then use the sprayer to cycle through the water coming from the hose to rinse it out. Though the rinse feature can also be used to transfer fluids and you may have to own it to know what I mean. The manual states this which is where I got that idea from. The description makes it sound like is has a super duper smartphone battery, when in fact its just a regular power tool battery, and a low voltage one at that. It is only 18.5 volts, and perhaps it has to be lower in order for the tank not to be emptied immediately at full power. They could probably greatly increase their sales and lower their price if they used the same batteries as the Black N Decker 20V power tools which probably all of us already own and sell it as (tool only). I read backpack sprayer reviews stating how heavy they are when filled with liquid, but I have no problem with it. I suppose all of those years carrying heavy books in my backpack and walking to school paid off. So if they ever release a newer version in the future, I would suggest that the sprayer hose can unscrew from both ends and use Black N Decker style batteries. I will use this to spray products on my large lawn that do not work with hose sprayers. I thought about getting a tow sprayer to use with my riding mower, but I don't have anywhere to put it so this smaller backpack can be placed on the shelf in my garage. UPDATE I have used this about four times already to spray weed killer on my lawn and it has worked perfectly. I like how its almost like a weaker version of a 120V pressure washer. The first time I filled it all the way up and didn't have any problem with the weight and the shoulder pads are very thick to absorb any discomfort. The next few times I used it, I didn't fill it all the way up as I didn't need as much and its a lot lighter then (obviously) for those who say it may be too heavy when full. ... show more
