If you are looking for help with Algebra I and II or just need to review and practice the key algebraic concepts, you found the right book! This 304-page color book is also an excellent supplement for your algebra textbook or as a study guide for students taking standardized tests covering algebra. Algebra Test Prep and Review provides students with a clear, easy-to-understand, step- by-step review of Algebra I and II. Students learn helpful procedures and strategies for solving algebra word problems using real-world application examples. This concise study guide quickly gets to the heart of each particular topic, helping students with a quick or extensive review. Students can easily locate key terms, definitions, properties, phrases, concepts, formulas, rules, and equations. Each algebra concept starts with a lesson that includes a variety of examples–both easy and more advanced, practice problems, and finally quizzes to test skills and understanding. • Excellent Clear Explanations!
Math becomes so Simple, Logical, and Understandable with this book!!! Highly recommended for anyone who struggles in Math with heavy bulky books that confuse the mind and makes it so difficult to understand...

  • Good simple and practice REVIEW of material
I needed a workbook for my daughter to use over the late summer so that she can review what she learned the prior year in Algebra II. She didn't do a great job in Algebra II, so I knew she would need a refresher before going into Pre-Calc. I ordered three books on Amazon, and this one fit the bill the best. It' got a easy to read review section, the practice test. If she doesn't do well on the practice test, there are problems she can do to relearn and review. (Or that's MY plan. I hope it's my daughter's plan too. ha!) The other two books seemed more like home-school/learn the material books rather than summer review workbooks. ... show more

  • Good examples!
The book is laid out in a concise manner. The examples are very helpful and provides step by step instructions. I really like the quiz at the end of each section.

  • There are no practice exercises for students to do, just examples with answers.
Purchased book to help student prepare for algebra. Was disappointed by format of book. Topics are covered with examples, which are then followed by quizzes. There are no practice exercises for students to do to master the topics before taking the quizzes.

  • A great book
I am quite surprised about other low star reviews. Honestly this is the best Algebra book I’ve found. When taking algebra at school, my son complains that he understands the concept, but still makes small mistakes at the tests. I found this book best at summarizing the concept. It serves as the key take away from each unit. As long as students use those key points as guidance, they aced the test. My son’s algebra has improved so much since using the book. ... show more

  • Poorly explained.
Lacks a lot of explanations. Shows a problem for an example and leaves the student to figure out the how's and why's. Very poorly put together teaching tool.
