Description

The stove top espresso coffee maker "Pulcina", designed by Michele de Lucchi is the product of intense research into the optimization of the shape of the coffee pot in order to improve and enhance the organoleptic properties of coffee. Thanks to the internal shape of its special heater, "Pulcina" automatically stops filtering the coffee at the right moment. This interruption helps to eliminate the eruption phase, the final filtering stage that generates a burnt and bitter aftertaste, ensuring that only the finest qualities of the coffee are preserved and enhancing its full-bodied and rounded aroma. The spout is quite pronounced. Its typical 'V' shape, reminiscent of a baby chick's beak, is specially designed to perfectly cut drops when pouring. Practical and functional, making coffee with the "Pulcina" is just like making it with a traditional coffee pot.

    • Good coffee, difficult with an electric cooktop
Overall we love it! The only problem we encountered is that we have an electric cooktop that kind of turns on and off to maintain temperature, and this can affect the coffee because it needs steady pressure. The 6 cup is a good amount for 2 people, we each get a mug of coffee out of it in the morning ... show more

This is my favorite coffee maker out of all the one's I've used in the past. It makes great coffee, but you can only get one 8 oz cup out of it.

    • Needs a silicone sleeve to unscrew the top to get a better grip on the base.
The only thing this product needs is a red silicone sleeve that will fit the base, so you can handle it easier and to protect you from burning yourself to make a new pot while it’s still very warm.
