I needed a storage cabinet that is: Black. 36" wide, 24" deep, and 72" tall. I just outfitted my garage with five new black tool cabinets. I wanted black storage cabinet to match. This cabinet filled the bill. First of all I want to say that I am a perfectionist. My garage and my project cars are very important to me. I have high standards for something like this. I also take my time and shop around before making purchases like this. I was going to purchase a similar brand cabinet from one of the local home improvement stores. I was able to find several different brands and I researched them all. NONE of these stores have these in stock. ALL of them have to be ordered. I was really apprehensive about having to have this shipped because of the potential shipping damage. Every single one of the reviews at all of the home improvement stores had reviews that their cabinets were damaged in shipping. Some of the reviews stated that they thought that their cabinets were not made strong enough to withstand the shipping process. I am happy to report that this cabinet arrived in perfect condition!!! Again, I am a perfectionist, and I am completely satisfied with the condition. I did see some tiny little dimples on the doors, and they are from the spot welds. They are really small and insignificant. This cabinet is solid. The shelves fit well and feel strong. The doors shut correctly and fit correctly. The locking handle feels substantial. I have it sitting on a flat surface and this is totally square. My only complaint, which isn't a big one is regarding shipping. I did not get any notification from the shipping company telling me when to expect the delivery. Thankfully my neighbor was home and signed for it.     • Product is Fine, Delivery needs work

First of all, the product is fine. It is generally sturdy, well made. The metal of the sides is a bit sheet-metal-like, but the shelves are sturdy and the door hardware works well. A huge issue was the delivery. The first time I ordered it, I got an email to provide my contact information for delivery. I did this, and then a day or two later an email saying they couldn't get a hold of me and it was returned. I contacted ReStockIt and they said I would be refunded and would have to order again. I did that. I did not get any information about the tracking numbers, but was able to call the delivery companies to get the tracking numbers and let them know how to deliver the package. Restockit did give my telephone number to the first delivery company, but it was not transmitted to the company which actually did the delivery. So, delivery took about an hour on the phone figuring out how it was being delivered and getting the right people my contact information. ReStockit really had no understanding on how it was going to be delivered and thus without a huge amount of intervention I would never have gotten this.     • Some of the usual problems with these big cabinets

The cabinet is solid and sturdy, as reviews I read of this kind of cabinet stated. Unfortunately, some of the problems noted in reviews are present in the unit I received as well. One of the doors is not hung correctly. It opens and closes properly, but for appearance sake, it is visibly out of plumb. The biggest issue is multiple points of damage. Some of the damage are minor little dents...I could live with them. But there are three areas of significant damage. The packaging/wrapping did not appear to be damaged, so when did the damage actually occur? Could it have been packaged having been already damaged? Very disappointing. Like others have commented, the damage does not make the cabinet unusable, but it sure doesn't look very good. And as others have noted, it would be a HUGE headache to try to return this large cabinet. Getting information and making arrangements for the delivery had already been a headache. I would hate to see what it would be like to send it back. Once again, if you take away the damage and the out-of-alignment door, I think it is a great cabinet. It is a shame so many of us have had problems receiving cabinets like this without damage and without some assembly flaws. The reality is that I researched every cabinet like this that I could find, and reviews of all of them indicate these kinds of problems. If I needed another one, I really don't know what I would do. Probably try one of the other sellers and see if I had any better luck. ... show more

Works great. Arrived in great condition. Note: I was worried about the condition given other reviews about damage during shipping and the fact that this is a big bulky easily damaged item. But mine was delivered in perfect condition.

    • Came dented?

Came with a dent on top side corner, Was packaged well and on pallet. But it is a solid construction and wont effect the overall use i need it for. Just unwrap it when you get it, it damage would effect where you are putting it. I waited for a few weeks till i had a spot to put it, by then i didnt even bother to bring up the damage to shipper.     • Lightning fast delivery arriving in new condition

I am using this cabinet in an office conference room (kind of an industrial motif). Was worried it would be flimsy or would be damaged in shipping. But it's sturdy and looks nice. It is huge and it nearly killed me and another guy getting it up a flight of stairs. But it came wrapped heavily in shrink wrap and a muli-layerd carboard frame that protected it as well as wood. Stores a ton of stuff. Handle mechanism and lock work well. It arrived in two days which is nuts but I am not complaining. ... show more

This is my LAST move in life and after downsizing I needed a strong cabinet to store china, holiday fragile items, and treasures in an off site storage unit! My husband was thrilled that he did not have to assemble it. At 178 pounds it stands 78 inches tall. Impressive! Not a scratch or dent in it after unpacking and ACT delivery was a dream.
