I love the finished product and so does my kiddo! (Excuse the messy toys) Assembly: be prepared to spend a couple hours putting it together. You will need to get a decent Allen wrench bc the one that comes with the hardware is garbage. I was able to put it together by myself and I’m a 4’9” female. I did have to have someone help hold a few pieces so I could get the sides together, but other than that it was a one woman job. Looks: it’s adorable. We didn’t put the tent on bc I wanted my daughter to be able to get in and out underneath without obstruction. She’s also just 3 so I need to be able to see what she’s up to. Sturdiness: it seems pretty solid. I personally won’t get up on it, but I’m a heavier set woman so I’m afraid. But I feel it would hold a thinner frame for sure. We got a 6 inch mattress from linespa (or whatever—Amazon) and it fits perfectly. Overall I would give this 4 out of 5 stars just because there could have been better instructions, better hardware/Allen wrench, and the tent fabric is cheap af, and seems like it will tear/fall apart very quickly with rough kids. But definitely happy for the price point (there were several similar options but they were in the $300-600 range. So for the price it was a good find). ... show more

This bed was fairly easy to put together and the instructions were very way to follow. The only difficulty was that not all of the pieces were labeled but enough were so we could easily figure out what they were. The packaging was great, no pieces were broken or warped. It was time to move my youngest from sharing a room with his sister to his own room. The room we were moving him into is not the biggest but suitable for his first room at the age of 4. We searched many different types and styles of beds and ended up picking up this one for him. Overall all it's a good bed. It went together easily and the instructions were clear and easy to understand. It's sturdy and works for our needs. The area underneath the bed is a perfect size for him to have a little fort in and play. My one gripe with it is that the cloth portion underneath is held on with adhesive strips which do not stay on very well. It's supposed to be hooked directly to the bed frame but it's connected to the painted portion and falls off all the time. Either a metal plate would help to be applied to or maybe some ties that connect to the box spring wood planks would make it a bit better. A minor issue but overall not a deal breaker with it. I bought two of these for my kids and they love them. One prefers sleeping underneath in the castle and one prefers sleeping on top. Some of the holes were drilled a little small so putting in some screws was really difficult. It should be assembled with two people but I was able to assemble each one alone in about three hours. The media could not be loaded. Absolutely horribly made! Only 8 of the screws were actually long enough to be used, and they didn't even fit the K piece. Some holes were missing and others made in the wrong place, so the holes didn't align. Other holes overlapped where some were suppose to go, so if you drilled a hole it would hit the bolt going the other way. This is the worst case scenario to run into because now the box is cut open so can't be shipped in the same one. Also now my 4 yr old has to sleep in our bed because his smaller bed was dismantled and put away making room for this one! No stars I MOST CERTAINLY NEED A REFUND! ... show more

I am dissatisfied with this product. First off, this is NOT a quick easy build (look at the picture). Secondly, they tell you if you use a drill it voids any claims. THEY WANT YOU TO HAND SCREW ALL 50 BOARDS! Lastly, they give you two little packs of glue so you can glue the bed together with the dowels…No, I’m not making that up, you have to glue the bed together…They don’t even give you an applicator, just a square plastic pouch full of glue. If I knew I was paying $250 for a box of cheap spare boards unprepared for assembly, I would’ve went somewhere else. The bed does seem sturdy enough, nothing amazing, and I believe my daughter will love playing under it. Sad part is, you’ll never be able to disassemble and reassemble this thing while trusting it to hold your child. All in all, you’re probably better off with something else though. ... show more
